Back to back game solution?

Post#1 » by Traxxe » Sun Dec 6, 2009 2:12 pm

I propose that back to back games only be played within the conference and specifically within the division. The same team is played both games.

This makes division competition more exciting and it evens the playing field. Both teams will be tired having played each other the night before. This eliminates situations the Suns are experiencing now.

I'm not sure how this work out as it is an initial thought.

The only-within-the-conference part is brilliant and frankly incontestable. It makes too much sense NOT to implement.

The playing the same team thing, not as much. You only get 4 games against each team, and if it's spread out just a bit, you can get more information from each game. If you always play the same teams in b2b games, things like injuries, general malaise/exhaustion (our current situation), lineups, hot streaks, and so on, are going to have an effect on both games.

Haha traxxe I thought you were going to give us some new info on how we were about to acquire some beast of a player that would make this whole struggling on b2bs a thing of the past.

Can we just forfeit the 2nd game so we can focus on the 1st one?

Back to back games really are stupid. The regular season needs to be shortened so there's no need for teams to play one game, travel half way across the country, and play another in less than 24 hours.

Why don't we just propose to not play on TNT ever again?
