Most people are not suggesting Amare be traded now, but possibly sign and traded this offseason. This is because it is near impossible that the Suns will give him the contract he wants.

I locked this. But people seem to be getting moody whenever I lock a thread, so I'll wait if peeps want to have their opinion heard

Have at it, just be civil about it

Doesn't this guy Kleon show up at every Suns Lakers game? Or am I thinking of someone else? Maybe this is Sunsman sneaking in with a new username to still be able to tell us we're all idiots.

Once I was actually able to make out portions of the post through all the "u"s and "r"s, I realize I had wasted my time.

I miss that search previous posts feature.

There, I'd say that was civil :)

I guess 'true fans' do not utter a word of disparage or criticism.

Apparently, there is no minimum age to post here. But hey, everyone is entitled to their opinion, even kid kleon. He , as many, cling to the 'Stat of Old' theory.

I think I was confused with Jmac1 and statisback. statisback made a thread before calling Suns fans idiots.

Amare's not the same player he once was but I'll agree to a certain extent, alot of people that are on the trade Amare bandwaggon are perfectly fine and happy with Nash and think he can do no wrong. People need to remember Nash is just as much of the problem as Amare, they both should be traded.

The difference is that we can find another "Amare" to give us 19/6, that's easy but Nash *is* our system. Even if you get some 15/7 guy, he still won't be able to do what Nash does and make this team go. Nash is a big problem defensively but what he does do well you can't replace as easily as replacing Amare's 19/6, heck even Brand could probably do 19/6 given the minutes with his broken a**.

You can build around Nash as long as you put a defensive team around him. But it seems as the days go by, Amare is not getting any better and unlike Nash who can carry a team with his passing and leadership, Amare's only value on the court is his scoring and that is declining. As the season goes on, it seems like Amare's ability to carry the team is deteriorating.

I like Amare, I really do and I would hate to see him leave the Suns, but the fact is, his value is dropping day after day because he's proving he's no longer the offensive beast he was 2-3 seasons ago. If he can't score with the efficiency he was before, then what value does he really have on the court?

This is the one of the reasons *some* of us are looking into trading Amare. Other than his declining value on the court, his healthy, his contract demands, his desire to play for a contender and his opt-out situation plays a big part in us preparing for life after Amare, *should* he decide he does not want to be here or we don't think he's worth what he believe he's worth.

This has NOTHING to do with one or two bad games he's had.

Depends what you can get for Nash in a trade. If you can get, say, Rubio, you do it in a heartbeat. But Nash for Nate/Lee or something like that...no way in hell. If we lose Nash, we must have a PG in mind to take over for him (not Dragic, he will best in the Barbosa role imo). If we can swing Barbs or Amare to Minnesota for the Rubio pick, I would feel more comfortable about trading Nash. Not because I don't want him around; he is my favorite player - I just think he has done more than enough for us and if we can send him somewhere where he can win a championship (and we can get something decent in return), it would be a good arrangement. But again, not recommended without a PG prospect in the wings.

Trading Amare is a different issue because we almost have no choice; it's pretty much we S+T him or he walks.
