Dec 15th Trades ??

With Dec 15th being the date that teams can trade players signed as free agents this past off season I was wondering who might be traded. I haven't had the time to go back and look at who was signed and is not working out quite the way they were expected to for what ever reason. Anybody have any ideas??

The big question is: Do teams usually jump this gun immediately, or do they wait longer?

Well I think with some players Bird rights come in to play if they are traded before a certian date, sometime in Jan I think.

Yeah, it's rare for teams who have signed an FA in the off season to make a trade this early. Most teams would give at least until New Years to mid-Jan to decide if the experiment have failed.
Portland could be an exception since they are short on big man depth with the injury to Oden. But I think they are too classy to move Dre on the 15th.

Wouldn't POR making a move of Miller for Bass or Gortat make a lot of sense?
Not like ORL needs Miller with the way they're playing, but would give them some real depth at guard with Nelson out.

That would be a great move by Portland, and makes sense because the 3 players you mentioned seem to not be working out on their current teams...but there have been some PG trades proposed over on the Magic board and they are of the mind that Jameer is their man, and that JWill aka White Chocolate does a good job of running the offense in his absence. I think there would be just as much crowding at the guard spots in Orlando as there is in Portland.

I haven't seen enough of Bayless to be excited by him - I recall they were very high on him last season and then he ended up in the doghouse somehow.
They're losing Rudy for some time for back surgery
Tough year for the Blazers.

i would love to get bayless somehow, but the blazers don't need tucker/griffin/future pick. they need a big man. i would also love to get david lee in phoenix. he thrives under d'antoni with a crappy roster, imagine how good he'd look playing next to nash. and he'd get at least 12-13 rebounds a game in phoenix.

Andre Miller to NY for Darko.
Gives NY a starting PG (and makes Bayless happy that he is no longer the 3rd string PG) and gives POR a back up big for Pryzbilla.

Frye really is one of the main reasons why the Suns are doing well. Trading him for anything less than Andrew Bynum wouldn't make sense. :-!
