Right now, Nash is the only one on this team who can consistently break down a defense and get a good shot. Hill can do it sometimes, but he gets too tired on back to backs and/or when he has a tough D assignment. We can't win anything as long as I can predict "turnover" as soon as Jrich or Amare puts the ball on the floor, and be right most of the time. This will probably improve a bit when Barbosa gets back, but we desperately need a starting SG who can create his own shot.

If we can't get anyone else, it may be a good idea to explore trades that can get us Tmac and move Jrich. Mcgrady may not be able to play as well as he used to, but he can at least create for himself. Even if he can't, at least he expires at the end of the year.

Very true. We had it in JJ, we had it in Boris...now we need it.

I would be incredibly surprised if McGrady played effectively this season. We know that it takes more than a year to recover from MF, and Amare was younger/healthier when it happened to him.

That would be nice, but it won't happen with this current build. I think it can with the next incarnation of this team though, a few years down the road.

Gotta see T-Mac play before we decide he can contribute. I'm all for moving J-Rich i just don't see anyone taking him. When healthy LB can fill in at SG while we look for a replacement. Hell if LB plays in that game tonight instead of J-Rich we prob get the dubya.

One other option...we may be able to swing something for Antwan Jamison. Wiz are probably going to break that team up soon, so he may be available. Horrible contract though...probably not worth it unless we intend to re-sign Amare or something.

Edit: Butler also a possibility, but he got inured tonight.

At least Jamison rebounds.
