Posted this in the trade Amare thread but since it involved J-Rich here it is again

Suns trade:

-Amare Stoudemire (16.3M) 2 years
-Jason Richardson (13.3M) 2 years
-Alando Tucker (1.01M) 1 year

Suns recieve:

-Andres Biedrins (9.0M) 5 years
-Anthony Randolph (1.8M) 2 years
-Elton Brand (14.8M) 4 years

Warriors trade:

-Andres Biedrins (9.0M) 5 years
-Anthony Randolph (1.8M) 2 years
-Speedy Claxton (5.2M) 1 year
-Corey Maggette (8.9M) 4 years

Warriors recieve:

-Amare Stoudemire (16.3M) 2 years
-Jason Richardson (13.3M) 2 years
-Alando Tucker (1.01M) 1 year

Knicks trade:

-Eddy Curry (10.5M) 1 year
-Jared Jefferies (6.4M) 2 years

Knicks recieve:

-Speedy Claxton (5.2M) 1 year
-Corey Maggette (8.9M) 4 years

76ers trade:

-Elton Brand (14.8M) 4 years

76ers recieve:

-Eddy Curry (10.5M) 1 year
-Jared Jefferies (6.4M) 2 years

Why for the Suns: They finally solve the Amare situation and get back a solid young player in Randolph and two solid players in Biedrins and Brand so they can still make the playoff run while Nash is here.

Why for the Warriors: They dump Maggettes contract while getting Amare and J-Rich back who was a fan favorite over there.

Why for the Knicks: They dump the contracts of Curry and Jefferies and save about an extra 7M for 2010. Maggette has the longer contract but they save money in the short term.

Why for the 76ers: They finally get rid of Brand's contract for guys that expire within the next two seasons.

This all works on the ESPN trade machine by the way

So...is this the official "trade J-Rich" thread or what? I'll see where this goes but right now I'm kind of leaning towards a lock...

Yes I do, Brand does have a bad contract but he's still a solid player and defender. If that trade went down the Suns would become a much better defensive team.

He needs to go, soon. I don't even care if it's for expiring deals he needs to be gone.

Would anyone really be opposed to the Dalembert/Jrich swap?

I'd love to get Thaddeus Young from Philly instead.

Yeah, I don't want Brand and Knicks aren't going to take Maggette no matter how much Curry and Jefferies suck.

Hmmm AK expires the same year as JRich if I'm right. I still think we need a 1st.

Only problem: Sloan hates moron's

I think the best thing we could do is hope the Bulls decide they spent too much on Deng and we trade J-Rich's expiring contract straight up for him next year. Hill retires, and we get a 3-point shooting threat who's averaging about as many rebounds as Amare right now and actually plays pretty good defense (at least in the couple games I've seen him in this year)

The Thunder just got Eric Maynor in a salary dump. Proof that young talent can be had for nothing more than financial reasons. Hope can be had of getting rid of J-Rich... next season :x

Now that Prz is out for POR, if we're ever going to get something from POR it's now.

Lopez + Tucker

for

Bayless + a pick

Return to Phoenix Suns
