GT: Suns vs Lakers 12/28/2009

Post#1 » by MaryvalesFinest » Mon Dec 28, 2009 6:53 am

Time: 7:00 PM AZ time

Channel: FSN AZ

Summary: The Suns are comming off a loss to the Warriors and have gone 5-9 so far in the month of December. No need to explain why they lost, in the words of Alvin Gentry, "Our defense sucked". Will the Suns come out and try to defend or will they do what they do best and run the Lakers out of the building?

Projected starters

C-Frye
PF-Amare
SF-Hill
SG-Jay Rich
PG-Nash

Projected starters

C-Bynum
PF-Gasol
SF-Artest
SG-Kobe
PG-Fisher

Keys to the game

-Who is going to guard Kobe?

-Who is going to guard Bynum AND Gasol?

-Will the Suns come out and play hard after that dissapointing loss Saturday?

Just think, if the Suns beat the Warriors and the Lakers didnt get lucky against the Kings, and we won tomorrow, we would have gained three games on those bastards in four days.

Ugh.

Bynum has been playing pretty crappy lately so if he continues that trend maybe we have a chance.

Dude, if you are hellbent on being the first to post a Game thread... bring something to the table. Game times, broadcast info, etc... Here, I'll help you a bit.... I mean.... you are a product of MV  but, your NattyEnquire-like efforts are appreciated.

More info, mainly gaming stuff... but some trends and rankings all the same. I'd cut and paste but the format is all screwed up. They own us over the last 10 games.

We're in for a "treat" on this game. Artest being out doesn't matter at all - this game is still a huge measuring stick for us. Where are we as far as being able to face any team in the league and potentially making/advancing in the Playoffs? I hope each and every Sun brings 200% tonight; we really need this win to boost confidence amongst the players (and fans).

And +1 on Frank's comment, no need to rush to make game threads super early if you're not going to put all the relevant info and even some pictures.

+1. I was especially not feeling the Clipper and Warrior game thread either. I know he said people might be busy with Xmas stuff but still, put some more effort in.

As for the game . . . I just hope we put in 100% effort and try not to embarrass ourselves. A loss is a loss, we weren't a championship team to begin with, so it's not a huge deal. Just play hard and I'll be happy.

Knock on woooood...believe me I want you to be right. Lately I've been setting low expectations so I don't pull ALL of my hair out as a Suns fan.

All right folks, instead of freaking out after tonight's game, please use the following:

Keep it clean, don't go to the Lakers board to start unnecessary stuff, etc, you know the drill.

Return to Phoenix Suns
