Suns vs Celtics 12/30/09

Post#1 » by Gorilla Warfare » Wed Dec 30, 2009 7:06 pm

Time to end 2009 with a bang as we take on the injury-filled Celtics.

Game Time: 7pm AZ Time

Suns starting lineup:

Reserves: Dudley, Amundson, Barbosa, Dragic, Clark

Potential Celtics lineup:

Reserves: House, Scalabrine...that's about it

Celtics are going to be without Big Baby, Pierce, and Daniels. Garnett is even a game time decision with a knee injury. Garnett or not, we should be able to handle them tonight since they're short-handed.

Beating LA and BOS in the last two games of the year would completely make up for our awful December. Plus we'd be alone in 3rd place.

Depends which Suns team we see. If it's the Suns team that dominated the Lakers, Suns should win. If it's the Suns team that wants to run and gun with the Warriors without feeding the beast in the middle than we lose.

I'm going to say the Suns win this one. Or at least, they really should. The Celtics are hurting right now and the Suns are at home with adequate rest and everyone relatively healthy.

Ha, I tend to "watch" the boxscores on big games like this anyway. I get too unnecessarily stressed out watching nailbiter games.

^yeah man I stress myself out something chronic

Have to tell the missus 'sorry' in advance haha

Suns if they get on them early could really kill these guys. LEAVE RONDO WIDE OPEN anywhere outside of 15ft, and if he comes into the lane make him shoot 50% on free throws....

This where we need Lopez and Collins to wrap him up and use their 12 fouls on him, Perkins and even Sheed. Anyone but Ray-Ray basically

I think we'll see some JRich posting up on Allen early...

Anyone thinking this is A win just cos some celtics are out obviously
forgets we are the suns. We play down to our opponents level too often

The last two suns games I got on TV were bad losses. NO and CLE. Hopefully this one will be different.

wow, I was predicting a Suns loss, but seeing how banged up they are, I am liking the Suns in this one. I'm not gonna predict anything though bc I'm usually wrong... scratch that, I predict a celtics win... lol

Ugh, I can't stand NBATV coverage. I'll be stuck at work for this one- but hopefully the Suns can at least finish the year on a high note.

Yeah. I predicted the Suns lose to the Lakers by 84.
With that said... I predict the Celtics dominate the Suns by 46. Sheed with 54. Drops 18 three pointers. Just doesn't miss.

I thnk they should start Clark at the 3 tonight to shake the rook up a bit. 5 mins before the game someone leans over to him and says "Hey kid.....you got the start tonight". Pure adrenelin to start the game man. If he is sucking simply pull him. I think people start to fall into a funk now and then and need a shock to get them out of it. He has the skills, this way he isnt thinking about it too long and screws it up because of that..... I know, im not conventional, but what if it works.

Well now Garnett and Rondo are listed as questionable, and may not play, with Garnett being the most likely to sit.

That's not a bad idea. I don't think Hill would mind the least either. Would be a great way to start off 2010 for Clark.

Watch em sit both players. This way they have a legitimate excuse as to why the Suns swept them this season.

Yeah, we need to do something drastic for his confidence.

I think Gentry needs to target one game here soon where he leaves Clark in the game for 30 minutes, just to see what transpires.
