No big deal. Just another reason that team needs to make a trade.

Getting caught with loaded guns is one thing (Delonte West), pulling a gun on a team mate is another thing.
Arenas was saying how he was keeping the guns in his locker "to keep them away from his daughter," but it seems more likely it was for protection.
Not only does it this damage the player's image, it also damages the image of the team and the league. I can't see it as "no big deal."

I'm over here thinking, Arenas is getting paid superstar money but he can't make right on a gambling debt?

Well no big deal for me as a Suns fan. I don't think it reflects upon the league, only the Wizards organization and Gilbert Arenas.

Kinda ironic they changed their name from the Bullets for basically this reason...

That is extremely serious and extremely disappointing. If it is true (who knows) there should be lengthy suspensions. Thats downright scary...

This surpasses anything from the ABA days for sheer madness - I loved the quote, "we'll get to the bottom of this, if there is a bottom to it."
Somewhere marvin barnes is smiling

Anyone else think we could take advantage of this situation and trade J-Rich for Critterton and either Mike Miller or Caron Butler and then waive Critterton cause he's a dumb schmuck who points guns at people? We'd save money AND be rid of J-Rich. Then we'd just have to complain about how often either Miller or Butler get injured

I'd rather get rid of J-Rich for Butler but I'd be alright with that as long as we can sign either David Lee or Carlos Boozer over the summer. Washington basically said that everyone is trade-able now. No better time to rob 'em blind

If it went down as it has been rumored, then I seriously think that some heavy, heavy consequences are in order. If you went to your workplace with a gun, you'd be fired. If you pointed it at one of your coworkers, you could end up in jail. The fact that these are multimillionaire athletes shouldn't give them any more immunity than we have.

I wonder if the Wiz are going to see if they can void his contract because of that

They should be able to, but I think that a very long suspension is in order. It's ILLEGAL to bring guns to an NBA venue, let alone point a gun at someone there.

Yeah at first I remember it was said they just found them in his locker, now it's turned into this. I still don't get how they found out this happened, did a witness actually see them do it? If that's the case I wouldn't be surprised if they were paid off...
