PICK HIM UP! I don't care if we don't have minutes right now. He'll provide some good competition for Clark, and he's injury insurance! Dude can definitely play. He's like the British Lou Amundson: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DtYYP9nZPKc

Sign him. Exactly the type of player Kerr is going for.
Then make this trade.
Suns get-
Larry Hughes

Rockets get-
Jason Richardson
Robin Lopez
Cuttino Mobley (contract)
2nd Round Draft Pick (one of the Suns two picks)

Knicks get-
Tracy McGrady

Pure salary dump for the Suns. No one is taking Richardson alone, so we have to sweeten the pot with whatever else we are willing to give up. Lopez can still be an asset to another team, but quite frankly he doesn't fit the Suns at all. Suns also go from 15mil (combined salary) to 13.6mil. Some more savings for Sarver.
Rockets get something in return for T-Mac. Plus they may need a traditional big man.
Knicks are in the same boat with or without T-Mac. Just with T-Mac they may be able to sell more tickets and/or jerseys. If T-Mac stays with the Knicks he may be luring bait for a free agent or two.

He would be a good pickup, would the Suns waive a guy like Collins to get him though?

Nice trade for the Rockets, not bad for the Knicks - sells tickets this year and frees cap next year.

Don't really want Larry Hughes - any deal with Ny should get us back Jeffries, who can fill a lot fo holes defensively. Find a way to toss him in and I say do it

Geeze, what does Lopez always have to be a throw-in in every trade proposal. We really are that desparate of gettin rid of our 15th overall pick just 2 yr ago. :( Dude's only in his 2nd yr, and you're probably right, Channing Frye is just the type of center we need...

No thanks to Pops. Too redundant on our roster, we need to put pressure on EC but not by replacing him. And we get just as much production from the other guys he would compete with as we need to.

No way. That guy is garbage. The whole point of this trade is to give us an expiring contract for this summer without giving up our main assets.Plus we get rid of Richardson without giving away Barbosa or another valuable piece.

He isn't a throw-in really. He is more of a deal-breaker. No way the Rockets give up T-Mac just for Jason Richardson, if that was the case for Houston I'd much rather keep T-mac then take J-Rich.
Channing Frye fits the Suns system better than any other current center in the league (unless you count Dirk as a center). Nash simply operates better with Frye in the lineup. And again, I don't see the Suns utilizing Lopez anyways, so why not give him a fair shot of growing elsewhere?
I mean, if we could trade Lopez for someone like Rudy Fernandez, I'd much rather do that.

I say let NYK sweeten the pot instead of us throwing in Lopez. If they want the TMEC, let them throw in draft picks, Hill, etc. Jeffries would be excellent defensively for us but all in all this is a salary dump so I can see why this wouldn't work.
