Cavs and Suns trade..

The Suns are still hot to cut non-guaranteed contracts from other teams to save money. We are competing with two teams at the moment for some of the Cav's non-guaranteed.

So...Coby Karl or somethng? Sounds pretty boring, but I don't know who we have left to trade.

Edit: Only one I can think of is Griffin, but he's already unguaranteed isnt he?

Only person who comes to mind is Robin Lopez. But I think he is worth more than a measly 2mil salary dump.

Thanks for the info Traxxe

Cavs non-guaranteed contracts:
Darnell Jackson $736,420
Jawad Williams $736,420
Coby Karl $736,420
Danny Green $457,588

I got baaaad feeling about this.
"Meh" case scenario: dump J-Rich for Z + NGC (yo-yo trade) :-?
Worst case: dump one of our young prospects for NGC

I'm sure Sarver would give up Clark for a right to pick from that lovely buffet.

Just thought of something, if the Suns give up a player for a non guranteed and waive them they will only have 12 players on their team when the NBA requirement is 13?

Right, so the Suns are probably going to trade a single player (Lopez) for three players. Cut two of em.

Are you sure ???

Boy Wonder is soooo expendable right now. Collins give us everything he does, less the broken door and frustrational yelling... and will do so next yr.

It would be better to hear we are trying to add a piece to improve... but to this FO, saving dough is an improvement. Besides, we are not supposed to do well anyway.

I don't mind Robin Lopez that much, his value should be better than a salary dump. But FO is looking at cutting cost, which unfortunately Lopez is the leading asset in that scenario.

no point trading lopez, we have tgriff and collins who can be cut if need be - surely this would mean a more substantial cap dump like Jrich?
thanks for the info traxxe

Cutting more salary. $arver just sell the team if you can put the necessary funds into making us a competitor. We're a fairly big market, almost always sell out games( would most definitely if our core wasn't gutted), we deserve to have an owner who cares about us competing.

I decided last night I'm gonna take a vacation from caring about the Suns until the suns care about me. When the front office's first priority is to make more money, we're the ones who take the brunt of it. It's like getting slapped in the face by your wife for doing the dishes and taking out the trash. I'm done supporting a team that's content to be mediocre as long as they MAKE the playoffs (which just means more money) and doesn't care about ever winning a championship. This core's going nowhere fast (except the bank). So I quit. Sarver will not get a single dollar from me until he's willing to at least try to even start to win a championship

Has anyone ever heard Aesop's fable about the fox and the sour grapes? I think our core's got a case of sour grapes

Why don't we just blow the team up.
Here's the trade.
Suns get
Shaquille O'Neal
Big Z
JJ Hickson
Coby Karl

Cavs get
Steve Nash
Amare Stoudemire
Jason Richardson

Then we cut Grant Hill and let him go to the Cavs
Our roster is beast
Coby Karl/Goran Dragic
Barbosa/Goran Dragic
Jared Dudley/Earl Clark
Frye/Amundson/Hickson
Shaq/BigZ/Lopez

Cavs get a decent roster
Nash/Mo Williams
Jason Richardson/Anthony Parker
Grant Hill/Jamario Moon
Lebron James
Amare Stoudemire

There. Blowup complete.
And we get Hickson. That guy will be something special.

I'm sure the Cavs are after Amare as well. They would win it all with him on that team.

Sarver is a bum. He should own a Taco Bell franchise, not the Suns.

JRich for Big z and Coby Karl.

Does nothing for the Suns but cap relief. With Kerr and Sarver running the team it does something to the bottomline.
