The Toronto Raptors RealGM Board has banded together and is challenging each other to donate money for Haiti, we have raised over $1,500 as of this morning. We'd like to invite you to join us in helping Haiti or challenge you to start your own Haiti thread.

Absolutely great idea. Come on guys....we can definitely do this.

You can give $10 to the Red Cross by texting the word "HAITI" to 90999 or give $5 to the United Way by texting "Haiti" to 864833.

I've texted to the red cross once a day for the past three days. I think $10 is something that most(if not all) of us can spare....that's like 2.5 coffee drinks from Starbucks or something. This is like Katrina but even larger-scale, and the devastation in Haiti is compounded by the fact that the infrastructure there was crap to begin with.

Let's do this!

ha. i was just thinkin about this. nba.com sent an nba cares update asking for donations to haiti. i was wondering why they didnt set it up so that one could donate "thru" one's team, ie i donate 10 bucks and it goes to the suns fans' total. then fans could compete, like voting for all-star!

is that what's happening here? what's with the total towards the top of the thread? ive already donated a couple bucks to haiti but i will donate more. i plan on staying home from the strip clubs and watching free streaming porn tonight, so there's $100 right there.

Already donated via Red Cross. Make sure if you want to help, to do it through well-known, trusted sources.

I just thought the total would be a good way of emulating the TOR thread. They've already totaled over 3000 bucks from their members. You can update it with your contributions.

Alright good news. Took me a little bit longer because I wanted to update my February budget, etc but I just made my donation of $100 to Red Cross. Was gonna order a CRKT tactical knife for my collection (no creepo) but I believe rice and wood/nails are more important right now.

+1 man! If like half of the people who viewed the thread donated $10 we'd have over $1000 right now! Oxfam, UNICEF, Doctors Without Borders, Clinton/Bush foundation...so many ways to help if you don't want to do Red Cross
