Not a bad game from Lopez tonight. Is it possible that with the opportunity, he could consistently have games like this?

Not bad, still needs a lot of polishing. I'm glad he is starting now.

I still think he was a bad pick than just like I do now but he sure is alot better than Frye and should be starting over him.

Frye's stat line sucked tonight...

14 1-4 0-1 1-1 0 1 1 0 1 1 3 2 -17 3

What's his excuse, as a professional athlete? Seriously... it's like he was trying to spite us for not starting him...

I liked how Lopez played tonight, I would have to see him to more of this to judge whether he has a great amount of potential though.

Again, I throw up in my mouth because Lopez was good on both ends. Potential wise, he looks better every game. He's actually finishing well, despite the 2 or 3 times he was stripped, he's still swatting balls left and right, and his reboundings not bad. Better rebounding, a couple decent offensive moves (hook shot and a jump shot or spin move to dunk) and he could be considered a good pickup where he was drafted. He just hasn't looked like it until now

I'm surprised that he actually has a decent post game, certainly better post moves than Amare.

He's gotta improve:
defensive rebounding
cutting down on silly fouls
contesting jump shooting bigs ~8ft+ away from basket
(strength/foot-work) holding defensive post position

catching the ball in traffic/on the move
offensive go to move (shows signs of forming a hook-shot)
a ~10ft+ jumpshot (his form and touch during free-throws is encouraging)
Free throw shooting (seems to be a mental problem)

Glad the big-fella is making the most of his opportunity. Still a project but he's blossoming in the 2nd half of the season ala Dragic, although a year later. Big men do need more time to develop.

That would piss me off seeing as how he's finally showing promise.

Um. Yes. To pretty much everything you just said. He's been cutting down on the fouls, just needs to still work on it. I'll settle for cut down fouls, closing on shooting bigs within the next 5 games. The offensive stuff and the strength he can really develop over the summer.

His first play after the tipoff was a foul... he fouled out tonight. That's not working on it, or making progress.

That's a bit harsh. He sat down after five minutes with his two initial fouls, but had none in the 2nd quarter. A foul in the 3rd then none till late in the 4th when the team was deliberately fouling. He fouled out with 10 seconds left and the game lost.

Seriously. He had like 5 fouls in 10 minutes or less in the first few games he played in. It took him 30 minutes to foul out and yeah, it was when whoever is closest to the ball fouls mode. How do you knock a guy when he just had what is probably his best all around career night? It was his best points wise.

the guy still young, and overall he played a good game. I think hes got a good idea of what he needs to work on,and the way i see it in a year hes going to be a beast

His first foul was stupid but they were acceptable after that. In the second half our perimeter defense went to crap, exposing our bigs to foul trouble. At the end, he was forced to foul out when we needed to intentionally foul.

Lopez should have played these kind of mins last year. He would be more polished and we would be a better team for it. That's why I also think EC should be getting more mins as well at SF.

Because we're trying to make it to the playoffs and win. If he wants development, request to be sent to the D-League. His time to play isn't on our watches when we're trying to win.

I don't believe EC would be any worse then Grant Hill at SF... I think he should just get consistent mins... Even if that means 15 a game. Maybe even a few at PF.

He doesn't deserve them... he doesn't get significant minutes just because he's on the team... you guys are insane. He's not shown and promise or talent...
