Does anyone think that, with Frye's unexpectedly strong start to the season (let me rephrase that, him benefitting from being in the starting lineup and his increased shots/ minutes) that his trade value is pretty good right now, especially to a team looking for a shooting 4 and hoping to make a playoff run?

If so, because he's on a modest contract, that he could be used as an asset to offload another contract?

Because I think with him heading to the bench, his production is going to dip considerably, and in a month or so he will be valued as little more than filler. I would argue that his value now is as high as it's been since his rookie season, maybe we could look to sell high?

He's from PHX and went to U of A. Even though they should trade him I doubt they will, they will probably give him like a 2M-5 year deal and he will retire a Sun.

I think teams should know what they are getting from Frye by now even if the production is down at this point. He's been around long enough.

I think this is a great idea. I've pondered on some Frye trades and would let him go in a second. Given the green light on a shooting team (Warriors????) he could go crazy. They are an oft-discussed trade partner in the first place.

Richardson and Frye for Big Z and Anthony Parker. The Cavs need a shooting four to spread the floor for Lebron. They also get back Big Z once we release him. Win-win.

im all for keeping frye but i do like this trade!

I'd say no to that trade - why for us? Rich and Frye like it or not are in the core rotation - getting just Anthony Parker is a double downgrade! Unless he is a big expiring, which I'm not sure?

Big Z is expiring enough and Anthony Parker is a cheap 2-guard who has a lot more basketball IQ than J-Rich. He is also shooting a career best 47% from three. This also gives Robin Lopez a chance to showcase his ability for the rest of the year. I'd do it in a second.

Any trade where we get rid of overpaid Richardson in exchange for an expiring is a good trade in my eyes. Richardson is an absolute bum for the contract he is demanding.

Frye has good value in a trade with Nash, say to NY.

I still doubt Frye really has much trade value. His gimmick style of basketball only suits a very few number teams. Even the Cavs, who need a shooting big, would be reluctant to look at Frye since he kills their D.

But absolutely, if we could move JRich + Frye for Big Z and Parker, I'd certainly look at it.

Fryes contract makes him pretty untradeable unless suns can package him as a expiring.
