Amare = Money>Contender. Let's get that #1 pick from the Nets. Only problem is he might make them better and we'd lose it.

There's no way they will trade that pick, maybe they can give a package centered around Yi and the Mavs 2010 first rounder. Not the best deal out there but...

I don't understand you're obsession with trading Amare for a player that will NEVER average 20 points a game and a late pick.

I suggested Yi + #1 for Amare on the Nets' trade thread and they're not buying it, and i don't blame them.

if they know he's going to walk, there's SOOOOOOOOO many better options.

Well NJ could sign 2 free agents who only care about money (Joe Johnson and Amare) but they'd have to cut payroll with Yi and possibly a #1 pick. That's our only chance.
Harris
JJ
CDR
Amare
Lopez... Not bad, def a playoff lineup.

It's been suggested on Bright Side of the Sun that we trade Amare for Yi, Courtney Lee, and Bobby Simmons' expiring contract.
I think this trade is okay ... no way the Nets give up their 2010 first rounder. They need something to show for this atrocious season.

Maybe if they add in Courtney Lee, Douglas-Roberts, Devin Harris, we'll also give them Barbosa. (They give us a few expirings)
Then the Suns could also trade Nash and Hill to the Magic in a three way trade with Miami for J.J Reddick, Ryan Anderson, 1st round pick 2014 (Magic) and Quentin Richardson while the Heat get Jameer Nelson.
And then the Suns sign Rudy Gay to a 11mil contract per year. And David Lee to a contract for 8mil.
Then the Suns could trade Jason Richardson and Courtney Lee next season for Kevin Martin.
Devin Harris/Dragic
Kevin Martin/Reddick
Gay/Dudley
Lee/Yi
Lopez/Amundson
Is that good enough for you MVF?

We may be able to get the Nets pick after the draft lottery if they end up with no. 3 or 4. So...S+T Amare in the offseason for Yi+Pick+filler? Maybe.

And it begins.... Amare back on the subtle PR/application tour.
How did this interview come about ?
Are we going to see his list... before or after he gives it to Kerr-plunk ???
A couple more comments from Stat and it will be cemented.... he's going, by his choice.

I don't think the Nets would trade Harris unless they knew they had locked up the first pick in the draft.
