Suns real problem

Post#1 » by KLEON » Sat Jan 23, 2010 2:32 pm

The Suns real problem is Leandro Barbosa. Whats up with this guy I've never seen him in a slump for this long and its' killing our team because in the past when he came off the bench it was a sure 25 to 30 pts you'll be getting off bench from him but now he's straight up suctacular. Gentry put him in the starting line up I guess to try to get back his confidence but that doesn't seem to be working. I know he's coming back from a ankle and wrist injury but that shouldn't be taking so long to heal right? He played excellent for Brazil in the summer I can only hope and pray he gets back to his best as soon as possible.
BTW could someone tell the team to get the ball to Amare more in the 4th quarter of games so we can stop giving away these stupid games. I thought the referees were awful last night and Gentry should manage the players minutes better and I hope Dragic gets his eyes checked out before the game against the Warriors.

I guess doctors told Barbosa he'll need surgery, but they're trying to delay it until the offseason. They just need to do it now and get it over with. His presence isn't helping the team at all.

Our real problems are:

- we have only 3 players that are starters in this league
- 80% of our starting five is terrible on defense
- and then is Barbosa, who is hurting the team when onthe floor

Gentry made a good move strenghtening the defense and rebounding with switching Lopez and Frye, and at the same time he undid all the progress by inserting Barbosa for J-Rich who is better defender and better rebounder,so S5 with Frye/Rich or Lopez/Barbs is pretty much the same. Play Nash/Rich/Hill/Amare/Lopez, send Barbosa to have surgery and give minutes to Dragic.

Sure it hurts that Barbosa has to play through that wrist injury but the REAL problem is that we are OLD, not that talented, not very deep, not athletic, soft and probably lack quality leadership to light a fire under this team.

i doubt that this is the only problem. we can talk about an hour or two over the real problems.
isn´t the real problem the poor defensive outcome from the suns? is one player the problem for the whole franchise? isn´t the liability from nash on the defensive end a problem? what about our wing - dudley started very, very well but seems to struggle now. the same goes with frye. those two are players who need to get hot for any output and if they play only on 85 % they get owned by everyone.

i think we should realy write this season off and look to add some defensive players. i woudn´t even be concerned if we trade ama´re to phily for dalembert, iggy and fillers.

try to rip off tyrus thomas from chicago for maybe barbosa and fillers for taj & ty thomas.

than i would love to get t. prince from detroit for j-rich and fillers. try to sign a atheltic pf in the offseason and hope that dragic improves like he did it til now.

and we´re set:

nash / dragic
iggy / dragic / rookie?
t.prince / j-dud / ghill
ty thomas / frye
dalambert / lopez

wouldn´t be that bad...

Props to the great one
