PHOENIX NETS

Post#1 » by KLEON » Mon Jan 25, 2010 4:01 pm

Doesn't Steve Nash have a say if Amare gets traded or not ? I'm almost certain he does and I know he'll want him to stay and Steve Kerr and Sarver don't want to piss him off. Again people there is nothing out there that can replace Amare Stoudemire ,why can't you people understand ? If this guy gets traded prepare for this team to be the next New Jersey Nets. Why cant cheap Sarver just give the man his max deal or something close to it or just sell the team to someone who has a brain and get rid of Steve Kerr because he's no doubt the dumbest GM I've ever seen. Anyway there are a few people I'll like to thank for messing up this team:

1. Robert Sarver- For being the cheapest and probably the dumbest owner I've ever seen.

2. Steve Kerr- Single-handedly destroyed the Phoenix Suns.Still think this guy works for the San Antonio Spurs.

3.The fans- Yes I said the fans well some of them, who still thinks that trading Amare Stoudemire will help the Phoenix Suns. Start calling them the Phoenix Nets by next month. Oh yeah who could forget that you people are hypocrites too. We start winning some games you'll hear Nash,Amare and the entire team are great but as soon as they go on a skid you'll hear Amare, Nash, LB and Jrich should be traded we need to rebuild. You people are not fans you are just plain pathetic.

4. The media- Why the heck are they trying to create unrest in the team?

He may be dumb, but I wouldn't call him cheap. Nobody wants to pay the tax if they are not competing.

Nets is one offseason away from being really good while Suns' future only gets more mediocre if we keeps Amare. Simple as that.

False orange nation. Yes, they might be mediocre, but you might not go in the tank for years to come for this trade. You at least have a piece that is an all star to build around. He is 27, yes, its not like he is young, but he sure is not old.

Change for the sake of change is not always good. Many teams try to rebuild and dont get that lucky or it takes years to decades. Some dont really come back either.

I do agree with Mr. Sun. Sarver might be dumb, but he has also listen to bad advice (Mike D and Kerr on trades and giving away picks etc), but if you look since he has taken over this team, the suns have been towards the top 6 or so payroll team in the league. So, that is not cheap my friend.

Fans, all fans are flip floppy. They are emotional and ride this team like a roller coaster. You can find that on many boards.

1. Dumb, yes. Thrifty, yes. Cheap, no. He paid luxury tax basically the whole time he's bought the Suns. No cheap owner would hack paying luxury tax every year.

2. Yeah he broke up the SSOL Suns, but FWIW, the SSOL Suns was a dying product with no future. Also Kerr was working under the instructions of Sarver more often than you think. If there's any red marks on his resume, that would be the KT trade, which was a Sarver move. Kerr has done a lot of things fans aren't happy with and our future don't look exceptionally bright but the SSOL Suns was dying and without the development of young players or even draft picks, we would've been gone down with the ship a long time ago. If anything, Kerr has done his best to keep us competitive while working with the financial restraints that is Robert $arver and Jason Richardson's contract. I almost have no doubts that if JRich's contract wasn't in our books, we would've re-upped Amare last off-season for whatever price.

3. That's a very small minority of fans. Don't generalize, mate.

4. I'll give you that one.

I've been in the studio finishing a record and just shuttling between there and my bed for the last few days - haven't even looked at the net since Thursday aft.

When the hell did this "Amar'e is all but gone" thing start?
I remember last year when we had several hundred pages of posts on the subject ... is this any more concrete than that was?

I dont really think Nash has a say in whether Amare gets traded or not, more along the lines as to who we trade him to for what we get.

We are screwed. Amare has to agree its a location he wants to go, then Nash has to agree that he can work with those pieces or not. Who's running this damn club??????

If (when) Amare goes, i say Nash/Hill will be the next, not necessarily before the deadline, but i can see us moving them in the off-season. Youth movement rebuild, here we come! :)

This whole Amare thing has been in the works for about a week, and just came into light in the media within the last couple of days.

Well the players might do a heck of a lot better running this team than Sarver and Kerr. :o They can't do much worse.

I don't know about that. He is shooting 46% from three, and he often leads our team in rebounding. He is a smart player, and he really wants to win. He is getting old, and sometimes a bit slow, but still solid for three mil/ year. We should be starting Goran at the two spot instead of taking Hill out. I even like when we have Goran, Dudley, Hill, Lou, and another big to round out the team.
