I cant understand, how after every single loss we have, everyone is super upset and wanting to trade this guy or that guy or blow the whole team up, kill the refs, blame the coach, etc etc etc. Just a bunch of hollow finger pointing, which gets no one anywhere. People have to realize that basketball teams go through spurts of winning. . . Especially in todays game. Back in the day you could have a team win countless times, champs a number of years and it was because everyone wanted to win and was not selfish (Celtics 08) but thats really hard to find with all these money hungry players now. They don't care if they win, just want to get paid.

One of our key players, Amar'e, is a money hungry player. He SAYS he wants to play with a winner, but he does not care. He wants to get paid and move along. You obviously can tell with the way he plays. Now in todays league like I said before, all teams go through spurts of winning. 2-4 years of winning, then those money hungry players slowly get traded cause their value goes up, which then brings the wins down for the team until they can hit the lottery or pick up a good player in free agency. Either way, stop acting like its the end of the Suns as we know it. It could be far worse, and yes, it could be MUCH better with the talent we have. We just don't have enough guys that WANT it (Amare, JRich) and just want green instead of gold.

All in all, quit crying, we had our chances and blew it (Or got blown more like it) and now is our time to rebuild again. Just like after the Barkley era, we had **** seasons, then got Kidd, then he left and had **** seasons, and then Nash+Amare, now thats on the downside. Be patient. Its a wave, learn to ride it (unless you just hopped on the surf board when Nash came over, )

Anyway, I agree that the board goes crazy after every loss. I was getting sick of it at first. BUT, by now there have been enough stupid losses to go crazy after, that maybe the going crazy is now justifiably in response to the organization as a whole. SarvKerr's vision, Gentry's decision-making, JRich's IQ, Nash's ball domination, Amar'e's fire, there are a lot of questions out there.

I was hesitant at first, but I think something probably has to happen in order for us to eventually have a shot at our first ring. That may now be a few years of rebuilding down the road.

Why panic? Maybe because we are 10-17 since starting 14-3?

And we are not going to win more than 2 more games before the trade deadline.. The whole team looks dead right now out there.

Yeah, but this team came in expecting NOTHING. We had a great start so everyone was all gung-ho, then reality kicked in. This team is NOT going to win anything this year and we will be cost cutting as long as Sarver is leading the charge.

One one hand, you say that we need to stop talking about blowing our team up after every loss, and then the other you admit we need to blow up? Doesn't go hand in hand..

I agree, as well, that the board seems to go crazy after a loss, but I think you also have to look at the fact that we are not playing good, consistent basketball, and we won't with this current build. It's pretty much been proven throughout the years of basketball, that a jump shooting team will not be consistent. It also doesn't help when your bigs disappear for games at a time in aspects that they can control themselves. (rebounding, defense) It goes to the old adage "control what you can control". That's what we need. A player who will do what he can do, and then more when he's able. Amare needs Nash to score, doesn't rebound, and doesn't defend, hence the inconsistency.

So you are right, our chance is blown, (via Robert Horry, heh.. ) and we need to regroup and retool..aka rebuild. So let everyone complain and give their 2 cents. Don't read it if you don't want to..but that's what a message board is.

I think what the post should have said is "Why after every win does everyone start thinking we're the greatest team ever?"

I agree with the message, though, that we've known for a while that we really need to start rebuilding.

nash, hill, richardson comming off the books. so if we can live wih that. we need to make decisions wisely.
our core of young players will develop. so in fact we all know that we dont have the much needed draft picks to rebuild now. so it does not make any sense to blow this thing up right now.
the best thing we can do is to resign amare. if he does not want to, we can do a sign and trade in the off season.

Re-signing Amare for the max is the worst option on the table by far. If he wants to negotiate and re-sign for like $13m/year for 3 years, then ok, but all signs seem to be pointing to that not happening.

A sign-and-trade only happens in the player agrees to it. Maybe Amare will agree to it, maybe he won't. He might prefer to just go out and see what can be done on his own.

The problem is 2011 is probably a lockout due to a new CBA.

Oh and Nash is signed through 2012.

I guess. I take it back. Might be an okay option, because then the team receiving him wouldn't have to worry about getting him to agree to staying with the team long-term, and he would lose all his leverage. It'd be kind of a smarmy thing for the Suns to do, though ... "yeah, we want you around long-term, here's a max deal. Just joking! We're trading you to the Timberwolves now."

Another reason for panic btw is that OKC and Memphis are the youngest teams in the league and already better than us.

We are never going to be able to compete again with this team. Sacramento, the Clips, Minnesota and even GS will pass us soon if we keep going like this.

Just trade Amare for Jefferson already. Before Minny figures out they are getting robbed.

Very good point - right now we're seeing that Dragic could be all the FO made him out to be when they drafted him. RoLo is showing every indication he can be a starting centre, which I would have bet money against only a short while ago. Clark has shown some skills. All three can likely be part of the next team

We're hamstrung somewhat by JRich and Amar'e - $31+ million right there. But a deal with someone like the Nets could bring back some decent young talent and, real important to us, picks that will bolster the bench at an affordable price.
PHX is a beautiful place to be, Nash is still a PG players want to play with and with some good young talent we are an attractive FA destination.

It sucks to have fallen so far so fast but it could be worse - Detroit, for instance.

That said, I could easily open a vein and just say the hell with it
