How will you react if they salary dump Amare?

Post#1 » by MaryvalesFinest » Tue Jan 26, 2010 9:05 pm

We all know before Kerr traded Shaq he said it was going to be a basketball deal instead of a money saving deal, than he turns around and says they were able to sign Hill and Frye with that cash.

Anyway it would seem like an NBA all-star putting up 20-8 should get more than salary right? Well what if that happens where he's dumped for a medicore prospect and a late first rounder.

How will you react?

-Would you stop being a Suns fan?

-Applaud the move?

-What would you do?

I would find you and put you in a headlock!!!!   OOHHH, I thought you were Kerr undercover.... If they do this I think we should turn our backs on them for the rest of the season....Stage a boycott, no going to games, no buying merchendise, I think we should actually collectivly get to gether and plan a no buy boycott. See If Sarver thinks saving money by selling players is a good idea then! If you are kerr in hideing i am serious about that head lock.

We should honestly organize an actual protest you know actually take a stand against this injustice we're facing as fans. Granted it's nothing to complain about in the grand scheme of things with the tragedy in haiti and so forth but as far as sports is concerned I don't know how any team in the last 10 years has gone from title contender a little over 2 years ago to almost being a joke on the verge of imploding and possibly being terrible for the next 5 years.

Good job Sarver good job Kerr. You've ruined our Suns.

Why would they do a straight salary dump when they can just let Amare walk after this season? It'd have the same effect. If they trade Amare, it will bring back a young player or two and picks in addition to expiring stuff.

You guys really need to get past this issue. Amare is not going to be traded for a piece that we then use to compete for a championship. It's a trade for the long-term future, not for the now.

Seriously think about giving up on the NBA altogether. It''ll solidify how much of a broken league it is.
It's bad enough only 2-4 teams have a chance to win every yr. In the NBA, it takes some teams 5 yrs or never to compete for a title. I don't know certain fans of teams continue to have hope.

I would camp outside this location (see link below) with a baseball bat, duct tape, a rubber dong, and no lube.

Jail time might ensue :( , but by the time i got out, the Suns might be winners with their new owner! :D

Anything is better than watching this sorry excuse for a basketball team. Even if its a sorrier version.

I've said this a million times, but I'd much rather watch a team that tries hard but loses because it doesn't have the talent or "development" yet to win, than a talented team that's too lazy or bereft of passion to apply themselves to win.

Just don't cry when that happens. See Houston, where "pure effort can't get you anywhere", Rocket. :)

I will be pretty damn pissed, and I'll definitely stop watching, going to games etc for a while. I say just show him the money, but the way it's lookin lately doubt it'll happen.

I'm contemplating forgetting bout having a fave team, and simply havin a fave player, just follow Amare, root for the team he's in lol
