Anyone catch it?

If so, anything interesting or was it more of the usual smoke and mirrors?

Smoke and mirrors. As usual, The Steve Kerr Show offers no information at all.

Yeah he talked a lot about how he didn't feel this was the right time to rebuild and any trade will be to make the team better and that he feels we can turn it around. They're listening to calls about all players, he wouldn't talk about specifics.

He was pretty uninformative and hopefully fibbing about not blowing it up. I really can't stand too much more of this passionless mediocrity we're seeing.

We don't need to blow it up, we need to reignite our passion by trading off the dead weight we're being held down by. Trading away Nash, Stoudemire, Hill, Dudley, Lopez, would ruin this team for the next 3 to 5 years. Keep that core. Everyone else is tradable.
The Phoenix Suns - 54-28. Projected Record: 54-28 3rd Seed

The Phoenix Suns - 2010-2011 Projected Record: 30-52 3rd lottery pick.

Are you brain dead? How long do you want to be a 7th/8th seed?

If the only alternative is to become Nets 2.0, then I, for one, am ready to watch a 7th/8th seed Suns team forever

What's wrong with being the Nets? They are about to get John Wall!

I guess if you like being a fringe playoff team every year, like the Nuggets were before the Billups trade, then fine.

I would much prefer to be a fan of a team like Oklahoma City for the past two years, than a team like the Nuggets pre-Billups.

Listened to it live this morning and to me it sounded like they are listening to offers, but they are not just for Amare. He got more evasive when asked specifically about Jrich. He just said he is getting calls on a lot of our players. To me, it appears they want to keep Amare and are trying to find other trades to improve the team and keep Amare. I would not be surprised if Jrich, Frye, Duds, and Clark are being considered in trades. Just my opinion, but Kerr did also mention that they also see the need for a secondary ball handler that can create his own without relying on Nash. He also said they feel they are maybe relying on Nash a little to much. So to me it sounds like they are trying to improve sg/sf positions with more of an iso player with defense ??? Anybody else hear it, what do you think ???

Maybe we can pick up someone like a rudy gay! That would be nice. I feel like J Rich just dissapears in games and when he feels he needs a bucket he just chucks up terrible contested shots. The suns need an iso player other than Nash. Amare doesnt cut it.

J-Rich was suppose to be that player who can take some pressure off Nash by creating offense, WTF. :)

how could the suns honestly benefit from trading cheap players like frye, dudley, and clark? you're not going to get equal talent level back for the prices they are signed at... if any of them are traded its as a bonus for a J-Rich trade only, i would hope.

Still a chance he could be... kinda... sort of. There were stretches these past games where he's been on fire, then we go away from him and... brick city. He just doesn't seem to mesh well w/ someone who dominates the ball like Nash. :-? JRich can create offense... only for himself.

I wouldn't dissagree with you there. There are teams looking for frontcourt players that can stretch the floor so Frye and Duds are likely, EC would be on his potential only so who knows.

Agreed. I'll take a 7/8 seed over missing the playoffs

I thought today's interview with Kerr was a bit more insightful than usual. I liked how he basically admitted this is not the year to tank because of the draft-pick situation they've gotten themselves into
