Sat, Jan 23 Golden State W
Mon, Jan 25 @ Utah L
Tue, Jan 26 Charlotte L
Thu, Jan 28 Dallas W
Sun, Jan 31 @ Houston W
Mon, Feb 1 @ New Orleans W
Wed, Feb 3 @ Denver W

The two losses could have easily been wins.
so if we look at the big picture for the last two weeks we are playing a lot better and getting our swagger back. i am still optimistic about our season.
and keep in mind 6 teams out of this 7 are quality teams.

our schedule til the break:
@sac
por

we can reach 32-21. isnt this enough?

Well you could say the same about every blown lead then. I don't agree. When we lose big leads, we suck and don't have swagger at all.

Charlotte completely killed us. Utah was winnable.

Not in the last lose against them. The Suns had that game. Up 3 with 24 seconds left and they let Stephen Jackson open from three. Then Dudley missed a three (why a three?) at the end of the game.

i wouldn't make too much out of it. new orleans was without CP3 and the nuggets without carmelo. the last games could be a small confidence booster but thats it.

The Nuggets have won like 4 of the games without Carmelo so far.

We lost to New Orleans without Chris Paul last time.

I know you're trying to minimize but you can see it in the team that this is a different squad than the that was on a skid for the last few weeks.

They are getting everyone involved. Rolo's emergence on the offensive end has been a bonus. He picks Nash's guy, and if a guy 6'9 or less rotates to him, he goes for his mechanical hook. Give him a real post move and we will all be surprised. He is a legit load to handle for a smaller player. Same with posting up JRich. He abuses a smaller guard. Even Frye looks like he is trying to shed his cotton panties for some abrasive britches.

This team needs to get edgy and play with more of an attitude.

Right - we didn't fall apart and lose the lead and the game last night, which is good. But no point getting too up about any of these but Dallas. That was a very encouraging win - even so, don't mistake this for anything but a pretty good team playing up to their potential.

The big difference is the defensive intensity last couple of games. I just doubt they can sustain it - it's not habit, yet. But if they keep putting the effort out it will get to be.

Hey Frank, those are the panties his mother laid out for him ....

seriously, I respect Frye - he's a delicate, finesse player, that;s who he is and no getting around it, but I really see him trying to nut up and do what we need, going hard after boards, taking it to the rim. Good guy, great effort. i hope we keep him.

he was such a surprise and such a bargain I think we all began to expect a little too much from him.

I don't care what other posters on these boards say -- I know the Suns are happy with the wins any way they can get them.

So I didn't get to watch the Denver game, but is there any indication that J-Rich is gettin smarter with his decisions?? Stat line looked solid.

not really, he just got lucky that most of his shots went it, although that was caused by Denver's poor defense. He did grab some tough rebounds for us though

I think he's had enough years to get smarter with his decisions and has proven that he'll always be on the basketball short bus.

I'm never surprised to see games like that because let's face it, he is a good basketball player. Very talented. I mean, look at his production as #1 in Charlotte. Which is why I'd be all for having him as a volume scorer in a limited, Ben Gordon-like role. But not at his current price!

He still made some TERRIBLE decisions that had me screaming at Gentry to take his ass out.

There was a stretch where all we did was feed him in the low post against a 6-0 Anthony Carter and he scored a ton against him. Really handled that mismatch well. I get the feeling like he plays way way better with Dragic than Nash actually. If he were like 4-5 mil a year, I'd be just fine with keeping him to come off the bench with Goran. He just isn't 13.3 mil material

No not really. But he utilized his athleticism in this game grabbing some rebounds. If he continues to go after boards it wouldn't hurt so much to watch him play.
