I can see fans being pissed if he gets traded. They'll be even more pissed when he walks and we're completely f*cked.

some people just don't understand that amare NEEDS to be traded... i would love for him to stay only if he's willing to take a pay cut 12 - 15 million a year and i'll be fine with amare staying... but that ain't happening. i'm still on the trade amare wagon

Lol. There's these things called contracts. They kinda matter. Why would he stay here when a team like NJ has enough cap room to give him a huge deal this summer? We need to get something out of it.

I hate to trade Amare, but I stand by what I said, giving Amare max will hurt us and letting him walk for nothing would do the same.

bandwagoniers are nothing new. I wanted Amare gone because he wanted Max money and he was not earning it. he brings a lot to the table but he also leaves a lot to be desired. He is the PF version of vince carter. I wanted him gone because he was playing like crap! he is always talking crap about what he plans to do but he doesnt really bring it. I think the suns is going to be miss him on the court but I just sick of his immaturity. he just needs to shut up and Play hard. there is no question that he can be a 20/10 guy... even a franchise guy but he doesnt seem to want it bad enough. he has bounced back form major injuries.. he is one mentally tough dude but he has to bring it every night. Im tired of ppl talking about him based on his potential not what he actually does on the court. if he wants it its there for him but his effort is what I dont like and its enough for me to want him to be traded.

Can't the Suns wait and pull of a sign and trade at the end of his contract next year?

I've consistently said to keEp him at any cost. Gentry has found some good rotations, keep it together!

Oh, never knew about these contracts. Or the fact that it even mattered.

I want Amare to stay here if he is willing to resign. Like it or not, he is going to be a top 4 free agent this summer and there would be teams out there who would give the max. He is a near max level talent who is nearly a perfect fit for this team.

As we saw in the past couple games. Give Amare 15-20 shots a game, he is capable of scoring 25+ efficiently, grabbing 10 boards and be active defensively. And most importantly, we have been winning games with Amare as the other focal point of our offense. I doubt he is only stepping up to get that contract. He is being used differently in these games, he was a legit All-NBA player under D'Antoni Suns. Amare is "selfish" in the way that he needs his touches offensively to be active on the boards and defensively. I don't see how it can be a bad thing since he is one of he better scorers in the league.

I think Amare understands that he has been very sub-par so far into the season. Read an article saying that he might considering not opting out at the end of the season. He obviously wants to sign with a winning team long term, not the Nets and the Warriors of the league. We can also wait till the new CBA kicks in at the end of next year to see how his new contract will look.

Yes, you have been a pro-Amare-pillar ... I waiver back forth, to fro... much like Amare's effort.

I do think we are better with him, and if we can remain under the lux tax with him, then do so. I'd rather trade Barbasoso to shave $$, and take Stat for his option.

Then we can do this whole thing over again next yr.

Bottom line is, put some good players around Stat, and he really becomes a handful again. The way Rolo is playing, compliments Amare well on the front line.

Umm how does wanting to keep Amar'e mean you're a bandwagon fan? I've wanted to keep him since day 1 if it would work out, I think with the play he is capable of and the way he fits in, if we can find a way to win with him I'll pay him anything.

A 4 game winning streak changes nothing. We're not a contender, he wants a max deal. I still say deal him.

i would love amar'e to be with the suns his entire career but if hes demanding max money when hes not worth it we should trade him for some good pieces

I said this after a 4 game losing streak and I'm saying it again after a 4 game winning streak - through trades, etc, who could we have next season on our roster that would be more talented than Amar'e? Blowing it up is a different story - but if you're not gonna move Amar'e, Nash AND JRich then we need to test the waters next season and see if we can't pull in some talent and make a run for it with our current core.

same $hit I said earlier. we still got 1 or 2 that want him traded, but all of a sudden you win a few games and now we all love Amar'e again. Keep feeding him the ball down low and he'll do wonders for us. WE NEED AMAR'E in this team, don't you all see that? don't you all watch the games?

I agree that the play of Rolo has changed the game for the Amare outlook. The player Lopez has become in the last couple of weeks, is exactly the kind of player all of us have been saying that Amare needs next to him for him to succeed. Rolo covers up his weaknesses. I am still on the trade amare front, but like others i waver a little when the one kind of player he needs to look good, is now playing next to him. If Robin is going to keep this up, then i would be all for bringing Amare back on a less than max deal only. If it is for max... forget it, but if less, like similar to what he is making now... hell yeah. In that case, if we could dump J. Rich and his bloated ass say in a J rich and Barbs to Rockets for T Mac, or Bos. for Allen, and then have money to play with at the end of the season when they fall off, to put more weapons around Nash Amare and that new kid Lopez    hell yeah. P.s. if we trade Rich and Barbs like mentioned and get Allen or T Mack back, we should also try to get Raja bought out and bring the kobe strangler home

I think Amare is playing better because the Suns have gone away from that outrageous jumpshooting approach from early in the season with Frye in the lineup.

Now Amare gets more touches again like in the past more regularly and produces at a very high level even defensively.

In the first half of the season we went with long stretches of Amare not touching the ball at all and just Channing hoisting 10 3s a game.
