OT: Your current PF rankings

Post#1 » by DirtyDez » Sun Feb 7, 2010 9:19 pm

Slow Day....

1. Dirk Nowitzki (Top 5 in scoring every year, unguardable, 8 boards per game)
2. Chris Bosh (24 and 11... Damn)
3. Amare Stoudemire (When 100% a dominate scorer, unstoppable)
4. Tim Duncan (Greatest PF of all-time but getting old)
5. Pau Gasol (Does everything well, very underrated)
6. Carlos Boozer (Controls the paint, physically dominate)
7. Kevin Garnett (Also getting old, best defensive PF in NBA)
8. David West (Great jumpshooter and defender)
9. David Lee (Human double-double machine)
10. Josh Smith (Most athletic PF is the NBA, 2+ blocks per game)

Honorable Mention: Marko Jaric...

1) Derrick Favors ( yes he's going to be that good)
2) Bosh
3) Amare
4) J-Smith
5) Tim Duncan (only reason he's this low is because of his age, a few years ago he would be #1)
6) Anthony "Magic Johnson" Randolph
7) Michael Beasley
8) Lamarcus Aldrige
9) Perry Jones (Declares in 2011, has a chance to be top 5 also)
10) Kevin Love

Yes I know guys like Nowitzki, KG, Gasol and Lee arn't the list but I would take any of the above guys over them.

I have watched Derrick Favors and I am not impressed thus far.

It is going to be fun to read all the amare haters and their reasons to put him in the middle of the pack or lower. Consistency, lack of D, rebounded etc, you still cant ignore he is still a force in this league and is a starter again in the all star game. Im not looking at numbers, but how they influence their team and the game in how other teams try to defend them too. Z-bo has been amazing this year, but before this??? To me, its more than just this year.

The greats
Dirk, Timmy, KG

The forces
Amare, bosh, boozer

the solids
West, Smith, LA, Pau, z-bo

The work horse
Lee, Love,

1. Chris Bosh (improved post-game and rebounding, becomes a true franchise player)
2. Dirk Nowitzki (can score just about everywhere on court)
3. Zach Randolph (finally matures, beast at rebound)
4. Tim Duncan (still great all around but decline a bit)
5. Pau Gasol (starting PF of the defending champion)
6. Amare Stoudemire (max player ?? been playing like crap until lately)
7. Lamarcus Aldridge (playing out of his mind since Roy went down)
8. Kevin Garnett (final all-star appearance ?)
9. David Lee (efficient but nothing spectacular ? D'antoni effect ? all star ?)
10. Josh Smith (finally getting "it", great shot-blocker and decent scorer)

1. Dirk Nowitzki (Put him over CB4 because his team is winning)
2. Chris Bosh (Much improved rebounder, scorer and leading the NBA in double-doubles, what Amare should've been)
3. Amare Stoudemire (inconsistent, but an unstoppable force if he even plays decent)
4. Tim Duncan (Still putting up classic TD stats 20-10 but has slowed down a bit)
5. Zach Randolph (Still hate the guy, but he's an all-star this season and it's well-deserved)
6. Josh Smith (Has improved his overall game and could've been an all-star, probably the top defensive PF right now)
7. Pau Gasol (Could still be putting up mad numbers but the system and players he plays with forbids that)
8. Carlos Boozer (Solid player, count him for a double-double every night.)
9. Lamarcus Aldridge (Getting better but needs to work on his post moves more to improve his scoring)
10. Kevin Garnett (He's more of a presence than anything right now but his presence alone is what makes him great)

1. Dirk (Best overall game)
2. Bosh (He took huge strides this year; his inability to perform in the playoffs is concerning)
3. Amare (Has been playing better lately, best scorer)
4. Gasol (Starting PF for the champs, too much talent around him)
5. Randolph (Playing like an all-star on a decent team)
6. Boozer
7. Garnett
8. David Lee
9. Josh Smith
10. Jamison

Duncan would be a center on my list. If he has to be in this list, probably 2 or 3.
I Dont wanna be here

Seriously? you're getting to be a broken record with some of the guys you think are awesome/aren't.
