Solid analysis. So what do you guys think? What are your thoughts on Mr. Kerr? Do I hear a Yay? A Nay? A "Robert Sarver should jump in a lake"?

Yeah they probably wont bring him back if the Cavs deal goes down, Kerr will probably be made into the scapegoat even though it was Sarver's doing.

Wouldn't it be more cost effective for $arver to higher an accountant rather than a GM?

IMO Sarver and Griffin have had a lot more to do with the worst of the moves than Kerr.

In total though, its crazy to say this but I think these last couple years we have been one of the 5 worst-managed teams in the league. I can't put way too much of that on Kerr. But seriously...name me 5 teams who are more poorly managed than the Suns. I mean maybe NY and mayybe NJ (I dunno how much I can really judge their management from this season, they've actually made some shrewd moves the last couple years), probably Memphis...you can't even put clubs like the Wizards below the Suns.

Can't really say Knicks have been mismanaged the past couple years until after this offseason because that is what they have been planing for.

Tie Sarver, Griffin, and Kerr together and throw them into a piranha-infested river.

Personally, I think Kerr would've performed better had Sarver been gone
The problem was with Sarver, not with Kerr.

GMs tend to work better with a loose budget control (the exception being the Nuggets GM, who did well despite of a tight budget control), right?

Call me crazy, but I wouldn't mind seeing Barkley take over Kerr's spot. Barkley's a winner and knows what we need. He bashes us for a reason on TNT, and I believe he will take us where Colangelo did.

Its not about having a loose or tight budget. Its about having a CONSISTENT, LONG-TERM approach.

Sarver is like an effing yo-yo. One day he does a cost cutting move, the next day he panics and overpays from the day before. That is his way of doing things.

Yeah I agree, that's why I put the "maybe"...because they may end up like Ainge and after years of random moves, end up with a sick team.

i always thought barkley bashed us just because he hates the suns (bitter from the rockets trade maybe?) i have a feeling that the guy would crash this franchise into the ground, trading whatever we have left for a sack of basketballs

Screw Barkley.

I want the next Mark Cuban to buy the Suns. Seriously, whoever it is. Please buy the Suns.

I'd give anything for an owner with deep pockets to buy the team and give JC full control.

I wonder if Jerry would consider coming back if Sarver sold the team?

Jerry Colangelo Open To NBA Return
Feb 15, 2010 4:52 PM EST

Jerry Colangelo said Sunday that he's open to returning to the NBA as an executive.

However, Colangelo wants full control of an organization if he does rejoin the front office ranks.

"I would have to have full autonomy," Colangelo told the Daily News. "I'm not looking to become a general manager. But if the right job came along I'd be willing to talk to anyone. Life is all about opportunities."

Colangelo says he has not spoken with incoming Nets owner Russian billionaire Mikhail Prokhorov.

He is currently the director of USA Basketball.
