This thread is likely to get locked, since it obviously belongs in the Amare trade thread. But don't take anything Kerr says too seriously right now. It's all misdirection and smokescreens and angling for leverage.

If the Suns don't trade Amare he's going to opt out and walk, as bad as some of the deals out there are if they can at least get something it would be better than nothing. Management should know that hopefully...

Frankly, I'd rather him walk. No guarantee of it, he might just opt in.

It's principle of it though. Don't get bent over backwards AGAIN. He's done it time and time again and it'll kill this franchise going forward worse than ever and more than it would letting him walk. Dumping KT and Shaq are one thing, you don't dump Amare Stoudemire.
