Question?

Don't take this the wrong way... I'm a fan of both PHX and Toronto.
My family actually live in AZ.
Unfortunately, talks are that our core big men are thinking about leaving... Amare doesn't seem as loyal as Bosh though as he's already talked about his second destination.
Would you guys take Bargnani + Turk for a S&T Amare?
IMO it would help both PHX and TO.
Nash is getting older, and PHX's training staff works magic. Turk could be a facilitator with Nash on the Bench. Bargnani would THRIVE with Rolo beside him.
Nash
Richardson
Turk
Bargnani
Rolo
Jack
DeRozan
Weems
Bosh
Amare
I wonder if it would work from TO's perspective as Amare and Bosh aren't great defenders, but that would easily give us #1 in offense.
Amare is a good weakside shotblocker...
It's a win -win for both teams... IMO... you don't play a budding star the max... you pay him 10 mill... have turk to take over nash's role as he is a good facilitator. Nash will then revive Turkoglu's offensive capabilities..
Anyways, I don't mean to disrespect you. I know their's a trade board, i just wanted your opinion... if it would indeed help both teams.
Thanks

Eh, probably not. I like Bargnani, but Turk's getting old and his contract would handicap us. Then again...that's better than JJ effing Hickson, but CLE was also offering a lot of salary relief.

You can't be serious. If the Suns would have offered Amare a max contract he would have signed it in no time flat. Hell he wasn't even asking for the max in his most recent contract talks. Why is it that loyal Mr. Bosh didn't sign his?
And no, I wouldn't do that trade. They are both decent but over paid players who wouldn't help the Suns contend for anything other than mediocrity while ruining financial flexability. If Amare leaves it's time to blow it up which is much more appealing now the Suns don't owe any 1sts beyond this draft.

I like Bargnani, but don't want any part of Turk, Calderon, Banks.

Suns don't need Turk when they have Earl Clark

Now Bargnani and two first round picks for Amare sound more fair...

Hedo is not exactly young, he's solid but going on 32. Bargnani is a good young talent but still very inconsistent can go from 15/10 one night to 6/2 the other. Amar'e will probably be 1st team all NBA this year and with that said, this trade favors TOR more than it does PHX.

Also throw in DeRozan. Lol.
I'd enjoy a young nucleus of Dragic, DeRozan, Clark, Bargnani, and Lopez.

I'd do this with DeRozan and a pick .. if we miss the playoffs.

Toronto would never do that. They're just swapping big men that want Max contracts. Makes no sense.

Sorry but i just don't see how this benefits the suns at all.
-Turkoglu is under a huge ugly contract until 2013 (w/ 2014 player option he most likely will take) and will be 35 by 2014.
-Bargnani is similar to Frye, obviously better, but locked up until 2015 with a big contract as well...
all this for Amare S & T....

I would MUCH rather let Amare walk than take on Turk/Bargnani.

No thanks...I'm sure tsherkin could say a lot more than I can about Bargs, but he's just not that attractive of a talent to me. Hell yes for Toronto, Bosh and Amar'e??? Though I'd rather spread the talent instead of having 2 maxed out bigs I guess...

I agree with both of you. I think Bargnani would be nice here, but he's a little over paid.
Not worth it to take a good player in Bargnani for an awful contract in Turk. It would be very hard to rebuild with 20-24 million invested in those two guys, and this team becomes a long shot for the playoffs replacing Amar'e and Hill with Bargs and Turk.

Oh wow. I didn't realize they overpaid Bargnani. Heck no after seeing that.
