Nash MVP Canidate?

Post#1 » by wordsenuff » Fri Apr 2, 2010 7:26 pm

Is Nash an MVP canidate in your eyes?I think he's done enough this year to get a mention, but having 2 already kind of just denies him a chance for that 3rd. Especially with fans participating in the voting this year and all the LBJ dick riders. what do u think? who will take it? who deserves it? Durant? James? Howard? Bryant? Nowitzki? Melo? J. Smith? Nash?

I think Nash would deserve it but I think Durant deserves it more. Amar'e is just as much the reason if you look at why the Suns are succeeding. I bet Lebron gets it though.

Regardless who deserves it (Dwight Howard imo).... The politics of the NBA will give it to Lebron this year

Lebron is taking it no question. His team has the most wins. Amare and Nash are top fifteen candidates...

Kobe should've won it the year Nash won his second. Nash did deserve to win in 04-05 though. Dirk's was eh.

As for this year it's Lebron's. He's the best player on the planet.

In terms of players who are the most valuable to their team, there's no doubt that Steve Nash is in top 3. W/o Nash, the Suns are a 25 win team.
The Phoenix Suns - 54-28. Projected Record: 54-28 3rd Seed

The Phoenix Suns - 2010-2011 Projected Record: 30-52 3rd lottery pick.

Nash hasn't even been the MVP of this team for half of the season.

Over the last 2 months it has clearly been Amare and that's where we got our record going a league best 18-4.

Nash has been great but lately I've seen Amar'e as our MVP.

Love Steve and he was the best the two years he won it. But no chance this year. It will be Lebron.

Anyone who thinks LeBron doesn't deserve to win is just delusional. Nash should be a candidate, but it is a no brainer that LBJ wins.

There are people that are ALL LBJ ALL the time, which is sad, but the people who give him no credit because of the people who give no one else credit is even sadder.

LBJ had always been overrated. His team is now basically an Eastern All-Star and trust me, even I can lead them to the finals and I don't even consider myself anywhere close to that NBA level of play.

I voted for KD this year. He's just an absolute scoring machine, but yet plays on both ends of the floor. He somehow managed to pull the team together and now they're above the eighth seed. Pretty good for a team that everyone thought was lottery-bound.

Yeah, I can't agree with that statement about LBJ always being overrated. He deserves a lot of the praise he gets and you can't take anything away from him just because he has a deep team. FWIW he was putting up numbers and leading his team even before his team was as deep as it is this season.

Yeah though I'd probably give LeBron the nod, though I do think Durant is up there because he led such a big franchise improvement. I could always see Redick winning it though, with all their injuries they couldn't be a top team right now without him stepping it up.

lol Redick, we talkin' bout MVP here, not MIP, not MIP, we talkin' bout MVP!

Based on how Nash got his MVP's I think Durant should get the same MVP based on the same merits of being the most important player on a surprisingly successful team.

It's really Lebron's to lose and will be for the 5-10years.
