Rampage to return for UFC 91 in Nov?

According to MMABay.com, the UFC is working on what would be a potentially electric main event between the two former Pride rivals. Jackson, who lost his 205-pound UFC title to Forrest Griffin last month, has only seven losses in his career but is 0-2 against Silva. Meanwhile, the Brazilian Silva beat Keith Jardine in May to break a three-fight losing streak.

It will be interesting to see how his legal issues pan out.

I think it's too soon.

Though I guess if his legal issues get worked out, and it was only a temporary mental problem, there's no reason not to get back out there. I'm just not completely convinced that's all it was.

Pretty good time for this fight though. It had to happen sooner or later, and it could put the winner next in line for a title shot, against the winner of Forrest vs. (presumably) Chuck. Any combination of those 4 guys would be a big money fight.

I'm glad it's not going to be Rampage vs. Shogun, which I'd heard was a possibility. That has to happen down the line, but it's not a good time for it now.

It's now rumoured that he'll be taking on Shogun at UFC 92 in December instead. Apparently Shogun has agreed to take the fight, but no word from Rampage yet, so it's not official.

I'd prefer the fight with Wandy, as I said before. Just because I think to most UFC fans, Shogun is a nobody, so both guys have a lot to lose from this fight. I guess from a pure fight fan perspective, there's nothing wrong with the fight, but I'd like to see both guys in the UFC for a long time, so I just don't think it's a good time for it now.
