So that means his other 13 wins were flukes of another variety? I wish I had such luck.

No. WTF is wrong with you? Knocking out Chuck Liddell, for the 4th KO of his career and his first ever KO punch, was a fluke.

By what logic do you think these claims you're citing are implied by me?

certainly wouldnt be the norm. he hasnt finished anyone in 2 years. or were those 2 years of not finishing people also "flukes".

I don't see why you're trying to take this away from Rashad. He tried to punch Chuck in the face, he did, and put him to sleep like nobody ever has.

Your whole career KOs theory fails to take Rashad's improvement as a fighter into account, and 3 of those 4 KOs have been in his last 5 fights. I think he put Lambert down with a punch as well, and then finished it on the ground.

The only way I'd accept something like this as a fluke is if it was something more like Serra vs. GSP, where he put him down with several shots, including at least one to the back of the head, and then was completely dismantled in a rematch. I'll admit that I expected it to go the other way around (almost exactly, I picked Liddell by 2nd round KO), but seeing the way it did go down, I wouldn't expect Chuck to win a rematch.

So really, what's your beef with Rashad? Is it because he tries to emulate your precious boxers? Is it because his nickname is "Sugar"? (Seriously)

Because your logic is flawed. All you're saying is boxing, MMA, everything is fluke.

Two guys in a ring, they dance around, suddenly they both start throwing punches and whoever knocks down the other guy first is the luckiest.

He worked exclusively on this strike. Greg Jackson saw Chuck's weakness with this punch during his fight with Rampage, and him and Rashad practiced it over and over.

So no, this was not a fluke.

If he popped Liddell on the button and finished him on the ground then maybe I'd buy the fluke argument more but he damn near broke Liddell's neck. Not only that but Liddell was throwing an uppercut that just missed Evans. Now maybe that punch put Liddell out of position or maybe it showed that Evans was quicker and stronger.

I have been saying the winner of Liddell/Evans was going to get a title show, it just looked like it was stacked up that way. Liddell would be the a big money choice and if Evans won in convincing manner, which he did, then there would be some hype. Plus I think Forrest/Rashad is going to be a great match-up fight wise because Forrest has a good all around game but not knock out power so I think Rashad might be more aggressive and push the action more than he did versus Liddell. I think it's going to be a good fight.

From an entertainment standpoint, Evans against Liddell<Machida against anyone. While Machida doesn't push the action often, he will find holes and and he can be relentless. I actually thought the Ortiz fight was entertaining even though Tito was being a little bitch complaining. Some vicious combos, a liver shot, and submission escapes. That was a decent fight. I think Evans versus Machida would be a bad fight unless Rashad got super aggressive and went after Machida with takedowns. I think Machida faces a more aggressive fighter in his next match-up (what if you pit him against Rampage and bump the fight to the 27th show. Then you have three HUGE fights for the end of the year with the GSP/Penn fight the following month), and he wins that fight comfortably, I think he gets the next title shot, before even Rampage. Machida/Shogun would be a good fight, even if it can't go down next month. Word is Shogun is fighting Rampage so Wandy might be a good fit with Machida. mahalo
