Crazy KO by Evans to end the night. Throws the LHW division into even more chaos. I wonder if he gets a title shot out of this. And who knows what's next for Chuck.

Franklin vs. Hamill was actually better than I expected. Hamill looked decent on his feet for a while, but then he started getting tuned. He should have taken Franklin down and pounded on that nasty cut.

Hendo vs. Palhares was interesting enough. I was waiting for Dan to unload that right hand and it just never happened, but a well earned decision victory. I'll let the fence grab slide, because both guys were doing it.

Didn't expect Marquardt to run through Kampmann, all standing up no less.

Kim had me nervous for a while, especially in that 2nd round, because I was hyping him up to my friends and saying he was going to murder Matt Brown. Good showing for Brown, he's a tough guy, I hope they keep him around....somebody has to lose fights.

Boetsch looked good. I'll always be excited to watch him fight just in case he ever throws somebody on their head again.

Lambert vs. MacDonald was great. Good to see MacDonald get a win over a decent opponent. Keeps him around in that gatekeeper role.

I'm still hoping to see Tavares vs. Pellegrino, but I'm thinking it might not have been all that great since we saw two other undercard fights instead
.

You can see it for free on UFC.com. Won fight of the night, I think Kurt was robbed on sub of the night also. Check it out.

Chuck probably needs to just hang it up. It's pretty clear that his training regimen at this point consists of nothing but 12oz curls. He's never going to see the belt again. If he keeps fighting then they just need to throw worthless nobodies in the ring with him. That way he can entertain us by knocking the poor saps out. It's unlikely that he'll ever beat anyone truly good ever again. With his knockout power it's possible, but everyone has figured him out. Most of these people he's going to fight grew up watching him fight.

And am I the only one annoyed by Evans' Ali-wannabe antics? He's a good fighter, he doesn't have to act like a tool for attention. 17-0-1 and knocking out a "legend" will get him all the attention he needs.

Pellegrino vs. Tavares was awesome.

Funny that most fans were saying it would be a great fight, a fight was cancelled, but this remained on the prelims, then it was a great fight, and we still didn't get to see it on the broadcast.

Good for Pellegrino to get a win against a good opponent.

I feel bad for Tavares, who is in a big slump right now. He's a very good fighter, who usually has exciting fights, but sometimes 3 losses out of 4 (and the win vs. Omigawa wasn't very good IIRC) in the UFC is enough for you to get kicked to the curb. I hope that's not the case for him.

Wow, they really paid for Kim. Interesting. I wouldn't have thought a E-A LW would have leverage. But good.

It's more than worth it.

They market him like crazy in Korea.

I remember just before UFC 84, when he debuted, there were posters all over Seoul promoting the event, with a huge picture of him, and then a small mention of BJ Penn vs. Sean Sherk in the background.

I had students who watched K-1, Pride, Dream, etc. Knew all about Fedor, but looked at me like I was (Please Use More Appropriate Word) when I asked them if they watched UFC. I bet that isn't the case anymore. Not bad for $46,000.

UFS wants to expand and the ultimate goal is asian. Kim is the biggest fighter in Korea, so he is worth every dollar. If UFC can take over asian like it has taken over America and Europe, then the sky is the limit on how big they can get. I would not be surprised to see some of the bigger japanese fighters hit the UFC here pretty soon. Guys like Ishida and Aioki.

I heard the Kim/Brown fight was pretty controversial. I have not seen the fight yet though so I cant comment.

Ive heard alot of good things about KIm but if he cant beat Brown convincingly than I dont see how successful he can be in the UFC. Brown is not an elite level MMA fighter at this point in his career.

And my god Liddell. That is just embarassing. How do you make such fundamental boxing errors at such a high level in MMA? Never lead with an uppercut and never lead with a body shot. He did both against Evans and Rampage and paid dearly. Im just surprised he hasnt lost more fights. Liddell is done.

Wasn't controversial at all. Joe Rogan is just a (Please Use More Appropriate Word) sometimes.

Kim clearly won rounds 1 and 3, and only a complete idiot would give Matt Brown a 10-8 round 2.

It wasn't a great performance, and he definitely needs to improve his conditioning. Matt Brown is a tough guy, but I agree, he's not an elite level fighter.

From what I hear, Kim's next opponent will probably be someone he is considered to have no chance at beating.
