Mosley should get the KO. I can't remember the last time Mayorga got a KO. Forrest 1?

Berto needs to win by a blow out to get respect in the welterweight division. I can pick 5 other welterweights that can beat him.

well forbes just proved once again that he's a tough little SOB. a couple of those uppercuts that berto landed wouldve definitely put down other welters, but not forbes. it was still a pretty dominant performance, but i wouldve like to see berto go a little bit more to the body to soften up forbes.

berto's still got a ways to go in terms of reaching real championship level (despite the belt). IMO he's gotta watch old tyson vids and learn how to set up that uppercut with touches to the body. also, although he has nice reflexes to block and parry, he's gonna have to add more head movement to his game. also, i know he commits hard to a bunch of his punches. but i dont like how he finishes some of his shots with his head all up in the air. he wouldve gotten seriously hurt if someone other than forbes hit him with those counter shots earlier in the match.
i guess collazo is next for him since luis won an eliminator. decent matchup, luis is very underrated, but i'd rather see berto in against josh clottey.

mosley/mayorga didnt exactly go as i thought it would, but i forgot to factor in mosley's diminished power above 147. mayorga managed to ugly it up for the majority of the bout but shane didnt exactly fight a fluid fight neither. i still dont get why mayorga gets these fights anymore. hes an embarrassment to the sport. all he is is a sht talking punching bag, which is what made that final shot so satisfying. OMG that left hook was hilarious. so hilarious i might actually have to have an avatar now on realgm. c'mon BR i know you're gonna post that gif in this thread.
as much as i'd rather see another matchup, i think margarito/mosley is next.

ehh, i just want the finishing sequence, not that angle and not the first KD.. it was funny how he just walked up to mayorga and crumpled him with one punch.
i'll probably end up creating the gif myself if i cant find it.

I can't believe HBO only caught that on one angle. WTF?

Larry came up with some of the most (Please Use More Appropriate Word) Merchant-isms yet at the end of the fight. Segwayed some sort of Titanic allusion into a predictable talk of Mosley being an iceberg - obnoxiously, all with dramatic pause and a "poetic" cadence. An then an incomprehensible mention of "The Queen Shane"?

Just die.

He does make me want to start drinking again. Damn, whatever's he's on, he's having a blast.

Shane was not too subtle about having no desire for a fight with Margarito...or a re-match with Cotto. Hell, he didn't even want Berto.

Then retire, IMO. Unless PBF wants to come back or he wants a third with Forrest.

that wasnt the angle during live action. maybe that was just the replay angle, but the one that i want is the one where the cam is directly behind shane. he casually walks up to mayorga loading up the left and just destroys him.

ah, ok. i didnt stick around for the post fight interviews. i usually dont during HBO telecasts unless its mad max doing them.

but no kidding, if not those 3 then who? his next fight could very well be his last one so he probably wants to go out on top. the way that both fighters have looked recently i'd take mosley in a 3rd fight with forrest.

I think that Mosley is done as an elite fighter. He has every reason to be picky with who he wants to fight. The guy fought everyone even if it was at a weight that was not favorable. He could have ducked Winky but he didn't. Who knows where Winky would be without Mosley.

I don't think he should get in the ring with Margarito or Williams. His best weight for years was lightweight and I believe he can still make 140. If he can do that I would like to see him face Hatton if he can get past Paulie.

nah, he cant make 140 anymore and he shouldnt even try to. the last time he's fought under welter was 9 yrs ago.
he can however make 147.

So one might ask what is next for the 37-year-old veteran. "I have to talk to Richard and the guys and find out who’s next. I want to fight with the big timers like Margarito."

http://www.fightnews.com/egonzalez13.htm
doesnt sound like he'd rule out a margarito fight.
the thing i love about sugar shane is that he ducks no one, even if it could be his last fight.
