How he beat Marquez will never find me...

As far as great Asian competition, there's Pancho Villa, Flash Elorde, and of course the great Fighting Harada. I think Manny has them all beat.

From Fightnews.com
HBO Sports reported today that 1.25 million pay-per-view buys were generated from last Saturday’s welterweight fight between Oscar de la Hoya, the sport’s top all-time attraction, and Manny Pacquiao, the sport’s pound-for-pound king, at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas. The fight was presented by Golden Boy Promotions and Top Rank, Inc. The 1.25 million buy total represents the highest performing pay-per-view event in 2008 and generated $70 million in pay-per-view revenue. It is only the fourth time in boxing pay-per-view history that a non-heavyweight event has attained the one million buy mark. “Boxing fans across America showed tremendous support for this event and we’re pleased that they tuned in,” said Mark Taffet of HBO Pay-Per-View.

Impressive to get 1.25 million in this economy.

Well anyone who saw the fight wouldn't say other wise but it is very troubling that he is saying that someone from Lopez's camp pressured him to throw the fight in the 1st round. You know maybe it wasn't anyone from Lopez camp but someone who bet alot of money on a 1st round knockout. It seems to be very fishy. It really hurts Medina. Lets say he does fight well, he would prolly get another call up from HBO for a BAD event. Being on the undercards are no joke. You can make a good living like that and the dollar goes very far in Argentina.
