Kinda funny though seeing overeem about to pounce on his opponent as if its MMA.

the first punch was straight into his gloves, the second was an off-balance flail across his face

This really puts into question the talent in K-1.

I mean Badr Hari looked absolutely awful and has terrible hands with absolutely no boxing ability.

Any reason you're neglecting the knee to his chin? Or the punch that put him down for good?

That said, it's not out of the question that Hari would take a dive, or even if it wasn't orchestrated by K-1, that he took a dive on his own just to get the 8-10 second break (I've noticed he seems to do that sometimes), I just think he really got put down by Overeem.

Why in God's name would K-1 want him to take a dive? K-1 is the only promotion making money in Japan and you are going to ruining its reputation by 1)losing to an MMA fighter and 2)running the risk that someone could find out, hurting you even more in an weakened Japanese market? Maybe Hari took a dive but I can't see K-1 being behind it. He might have gone down just because he knew he was getting raped and there was no point in taking more of a beating.

The Alvarez lost hurt me a lot. When a guy butt scoots across the ground like a dog with hemorrhoids and wears silly colored pants and invents submission moves, stay the **** out of his guard. Let him stand up, stay away from the clinch and beat him on your feet. Aoki's got nothing on Alvarez if the fight stays standing. mahalo

In the contract to fight Overeem in K-1 rules, there's a guarantee that Hari will fight him in MMA.

I'm not saying there weren't legit shots, I'm saying his reaction to nothing-shots seems suspicious.

And how does that benefit K-1? Hari has no MMA experience and while Overeem may not be Bas Rutten, he does have a good guillotine and he dismantled Hari in the stand-up so I see this as only another knock against K-1. DREAM may drive up interest having Hari fight Overeem under MMA rules but if Hari can't beat him under K-1 rules, what sort of contest do you expect the MMA fight to be? I don't see the benefit of having Hari take a dive when DREAM is probably going to fold by the end of the year anyway. mahalo
