I agree that he's going to be a tough match-up but if Franklin wants to be in the title picture, he can't be beating cans. If he beats Forrest, he's in the title picture and if he loses, then his last his three most recent losses are to former and current champs. He is still relevant. There's nothing to be gained by fighting the Brandon Veras of the LHW division. Plus imagine the media entertainment you can get out of those two fighting one another. mahalo

Re: UFC 93
I wasnt impressed with Shogun at all. Coleman looked his age and then some, any "fit" 205'r should give Coleman the run around enough to gas him, but given how much we hear about Shoguns calibre you'd have thought he'd have finished what looked like a "out of water fish" Coleman quickly - I mean he looked prep'd to be finish alot of times, but then you just looked across at Shogun and he seemed gassed himself. Only thing that gives me hope with him is that he is so long out of the cage and also coming off a couple of knee surgeries.
Being on Setanta only got to see the main card, but I did enjoy it. I was actually surprised how close they gave the Horn fight because I felt all he did was "escape" but never did anything cept get taken down again and then escape. I was not impressed because he really wasnt "punished" that much while on the ground [it wasnt quite laying on top of him, but it wasnt like he was taking hammer fists to the side of the face much either].
Davis Lytle wasnt far off what they promised - 15 minutes of both trying to get it done, rarely a break, and both showed a great respect for each other in terms of sportsmanship and skill.
Belcher Kang was a good fight - thought Kang looked good until he got rolled into the choke.
Main event - really enjoyed it but disappointing to see the accident eye poke cos Franklin knew he had to swing for the fences against a "tired" hendo - that minute or two gave him enough time to catch a breath to last 30 more seconds and just keep his distance enough.
Only undercard fight I saw was the dublin'er vs the UK dude - didnt expect Hatherway to be so middleclass [definatly not upperclass lol] but he sounded like he could well have been in private school with me lol, not like Bisbing who's accent grinds me every time I here him [I am from London btw]
