Where does Pacquiao rank now among the all-time greats?
With his 7th championship in as many weight divisions, where is Manny right now in the top 10 list of all-time great boxers?
I wasn't able to watch the legends like Ali, Sugar Ray Leonard and Robinson etc., so what do you guys think?

I don't know about Top 10 but definitely in the early teens. Maybe if he beats PBF

Mayweather steals a lot of his thunder in a debate like this. He would not be top 10 all time on my list, but he is inching his way closer.

I've got to go with Bert Sugar on this one...definitely Top 20. Given a good argument, one could logically have him in the Top 15.

On the subject of Mayweather, anyone else find it funny Pacquiao has actually beaten, or even fought, a legit welterweight before he has, even though Mayweather's been campaigning at welterweight since 2006?

OT: And it took Floyd 11 rounds to finish off Hatton at a welterweight match while Manny needed only 2 rounds to dispose Hatton at junior welterweight (Hatton's real weight class).

I mean honestly there are so many fighters over the rich history of boxing that it is very hard for anyone to really go up and down so drastic during their career. I mean the fighter of the decade in the 90s RRJ isn't even in the top 25 in most lists.
I think he is without question in the top 10... Most educated individuals have Duran in their top 10 and I believe Manny would be able to beat him in his most beastly weight at 135.

Carlos Baldomir, Zab Judah, and Ricky Hatton are no jokes at welterweight....

Cintron, Margarito, Mosley, Cotto, Williams, Berto, Clottey, and now Pacquiao would've been better choices. I also would've rather see him fight Collazo or Quintana instead of Marquez also.
Baldomir was a paper champion. People can argue that he didn't lose for 8 years before Mayweather, but the only fight he was tested on was against Clottey. Clottey lost by DQ, but was ahead on the judges' scorecards. Judah was so bad during that fight with him.
Judah was great, but if he fights guys based on win-loss records, why did he fight him after he lost to Baldomir?
Ricky Hatton at 140 > Ricky Hatton at 147. He already had trouble at 147 against Collazo. Two fights after Hatton moved back to 140, Mayweather makes him move up once again.

I knew you were better than that.

Oh well...as long as it's there for all of Mayweather's supporters to see.

Top 15 or 20. If he can beat PBF, top 10.

Re: Where does Pacquiao rank now among the all-time greats?
Freddie Roach vowed his man would be the first to defeat Mayweather if that fight happens, after Pacquaio’s stirring 12th-round technical knockout victory over Miguel Cotto on Saturday night.
“Mayweather has speed,” Roach said. “The thing is, he’ll lay on the ropes, he rolls his shoulders, stuff like this, and we’ll take everything he gives us. I’ve got a great game plan for Mayweather. I know how to beat that guy. I think we definitely have better footwork than him, I think we have faster feet, and the hands are about the same.
“Obviously, everybody wants Mayweather-Pacquiao but we’ll see what’s the best deal out there that we possibly can negotiate for Manny. But personally, I want Mayweather. We break him down and beat him up. The thing is, he’s a fragile guy. We have the speed and the power to deal with him.”

I don't think Manny is up there with Duran just yet. Pacquiao's resume is otherworldly at this point and looks like a Fight Night Round 4 roster but he hasn't beaten an All-Time Great on the level of Ray Leonard yet. Although, that may soon be coming up...
It is incredible how much he's improved since his loss to Morales. I never thought there'd ever be serious talk about a current fighter approaching Roberto Duran's status, and possibly even beating Manos de Piedra. And the most exciting thing is this debate is legitimate.
