I would say Manny retires and PBF returns once he's broke again. :D

Can you imagine if Pacquiao lost last night, that Mayweather would've been Number 1 on the pound-for-pound rankings when all he did in the last two years was fight Marquez at 147?

Then we would never hear the end of it. The thought makes me want to vomit.

Everyone talks about how Pacquiao-Mayweather will save boxing. I think Pacquiao defeating Cotto just saved many boxing writers' credibility there.

yuri foreman what?

http://www.8countnews.com/news/129/ARTI ... 11-15.html

8CN - How do you process this whole ride? I know you told me that he was going to be good, but did you think that he would be this good?

FR - No, he was just 122lbs when we met and we won the title a month later. Who would have known that we would be fighting for the welterweight title one day? I would have told you that you were crazy. Now we are talking about 154, and you know what? We can beat Yuri Foreman and get his title.

8CN - You always got something new for me. You're telling me that you guys are thinking about going up to 154 and going after that title?

FR - Yuri won the title last night, and we are talking about it.

8CN - Obviously a Yuri Foreman fight doesn't pay like a Mayweather fight. We'll get into that later though, I noticed that Cotto changed up his approach once he tasted Manny's power. There were a few dimensions in this fight huh?

My guess is it's simply talk to get Mayweather going. It's like saying, "you don't want to dance? Fine. There are other ways for us to settle this pound-for-pound debate without having to deal with your bull. We'll take our 8th title in an 8th weight class and tell you to go fight Mosley."

I agree. I think it's to say that they have other options. I mentioned this in another thread that Manny could fight Mosley too for the linear championship, extending that record to 5. He could also go for the Marquez trilogy and make sure he stays down (I honestly don't think Marquez is any match for Pacquiao above 130). Pacquiao could also grab an alphabet title at 140 against Timothy Bradley (I believe Devon Alexander, Amir Khan, and Juan Urango are going to be in HBO's 140 tournament). It has to be said though...none of those fights will make the amount of money a fight with Mayweather could make, but those fights can further solidify Pacquiao's legacy.

Pac said he will not fight marquez again. Nobody will want to watch it. Also Roach stated Manny only has 2 fights left before he retire. My guess is he will fight Mayweather on his last boxing bout.

Or maybe he will fight Mayweather twice because i'm pretty damn sure that if he fights Mayweather next..no matter what the outcome is, there will be a rematch.

I didn't think Manny would dominate with power the way he did. Congrats to him on 7th title in 7th div.

I still think Manny won't beat Mayweather.
