That was too easy for Florian. Gomi sat there with his hands down and ate jabs all fight.

KenFlo is too good and too smart for Gomi, as predicted. The days of Gomi being an elite 155 have been over for quite a while now, it just happened away from American TV so not everyone noticed.

I would like to see KenFlo and Maynard for the next title shot. I have no idea what they should do with Gomi. When this fight was first announced I said it was dumb for them to ruin Gomi before he ever built an American audience. They should have given him a fight he could win before a big fight. Now, you might as well give him to someone like Pearson or Winner and see what happens. Dumb matchmaking by the usually very good Joe Silva.

Well I had no idea this was tonight. Caught the tail end on my TUF recording. Nice choke by Florian. it shows you have far down the pole Gomi is when Florian dominated him the same way Penn dominated Florian.

Glad to see Gerald Harris get the win. And too bad about Quarry. I always knew Quarry was a good dude, but I have been watching the old seasons of TUF on their new website and I like him more now.

I think Roy should fight either Gonzaga or Kongo next. A win against either is probably his ceiling. The next tier is Mir/Nog and I don't see Roy beating those two guys.

Well, I guess Florian showed why he is a top 3 LW in the world ;). A bit disappointed in Gomi, especially since he seemed to be in reasonable shape and prepared for the fight. I think he was rumoured to fight Spencer Fisher to debut, and I wouldn't mind seeing that fight get made now.

Nelson looked very impressive. I really hope they do Mir vs. Nelson next. I like Nelson's chances in that one. Mir is all luck and hype.

Rivera took the win in the sentimental favourite championship fight. I threw a little bet on him because his odds were 3-1 and this was very much a 50-50 fight going in, so I'm glad he came out on top.

Pearson vs. Siver was awesome. Pearson has looked very strong so far. Part of me wants to see him take a step up in competition, but it wouldn't hurt to see him get more experienced. Put him on the next UK show against a low level gatekeeper or something. Bocek comes to mind since he just fought, but there are lots of possibilities.

Good show overall, and I was pleasantly surprised by the first episode of The Ultimate Fighter too.

Pearson was real technical, he looked good. He was following Siver's punches back and his hand positioning was always perfect.

Pearson seems to me to be the most talented Brit on paper more than bisping and hardy.

I do not see this at all. Pearson is a nice talent, but he has fought no one. Hardy and Bisping both looked like world beaters early on too, but they also are proven against tough opponents.

It is possible Pearson becomes better than both, but he has done nothing yet to prove it.

By "on paper" I mean that his mma skillset seems to be better than Dan The Brawler Hardy and Michael the Gatekeeper Bisping. Of course there are the intangibles like Hardy's chin and Bisping's intensity that allow them to go the extra mile against top comp so we'll see what Pearson's intangibles are once he fights an elite fighter. I'm betting he'll win some and lose some. Maybe not champ material but he'll be contender level soon enough.

I was very impressed with Pearson, his striking is crisp and text book, he looks like a vet in their knowing when to bang and when to chill. I'd like to see him step up and knock the LNP out Maynard. I'd also like to see him fight Varner, that would be a really nice match up.

Same here, he could be a contender in that division.
