Yeah, Rosenthal was great during the Irvin / Sakara fight. Really composed while figuring everything out, kept everyone in check, and caught a tiny detail in order to make the right call.
Watching Herb Dean during his two fights, you realize how damn thankless a job it is. He had to make some tough decisions and he looked miserable doing it. He was in the middle of the ring waiting out a foul recovery time just looking miserable. I thought to myself why anyone would even want to be in there having to do that. You so rarely get praise, whereas you have everything to lose if you **** up. But to have to be in there so decisive in stopping fights based on tiny little details and to have to never, ever lose a second of control over arbitrating the fighters and the rules, fawk, that can't be easy.
Let's never forget that Miragliata was clearly paid off in the Kimbo vs Thompson fight.
