Re: UFC 112: Abu Dhabi
I have always had interest in this matchup (less after Nate/Maia), but I'm definitely not excited for it. I was really excited to see which elite striker was going to come out on top. The life of a fight fan...

I know Anderson is good but the #1 pound for pound fighter in the world is a joke. Sure he has got a nice streak of wins going but who really good has he beat, Hendo and Ace twice, that is about it!

Brunson: So what are you paid to do?
Hart: Run around like an idiot during the game and f*** s*** up!

Dana said recently that Penn/Hughes 3 wouldn't happen.

Anderson's just a joy to watch. I think Fedor's a better fighter but if anyone wants to argue for Anderson I won't disagree. His defense, anticipation and accuracy are insane.

Re: UFC 112: Abu Dhabi
Having a UFC event in an open-air stadium is going to be pretty weird.
I think it could play a small factor in how the fights go, mostly because the humidity is so ridiculous there.
I also wonder how it will come across on TV, just from a visual perspective.

Wow I would expect Abu Dhabi to be dry and not humid, but you are correct. I think I saw that there's a 25% chance of rain. I'm sure they could get a huge tarp to hang over the metal structure.
Dana White said that wind could be a huge factor.

Yeah, I kind of thought the same thing, but I was listening to an interview with Renzo Gracie and he was saying the humidity was like 97%. Guys will be so sweaty that if you don't get a sub in the first minute, you might as well forget about it.
I'm sure there's some exaggeration there, but even if it's only partially true, it's kind of interesting. I guess Maia has even less of a chance than originally expected.

Not so interested in these fights. I see the co-main events being one-sided trainwrecks and the other bouts on the main card simply don't interest me. Etim and Dos Anjos will likely be FOTN, but neither guy is noteworthy. Mark Munoz? Kendall Grove? Zuffa needs to give up on Grove, ASAP. I can't stand his stupid long legs and arms and stupid grave digging thing. It makes me want to punch him (and subsequently get my ass kicked).

Grove has won 3 of his last 4, so there is no real reason to cut him now. He seems to be coming into his own.
