(TMZ.com) -- Tito Ortiz, UFC fighter and former champion, was taken away from his home on Monday afternoon after police arrived due to alleged domestic violence charges. It is suspected that Tito Ortiz had assaulted his spouse and former adult star, Jenna Jameson. When asked by papparazzi outside of the Huntington Beach sheriff's department for comment, a clearly angry Tito responded in his defense, "Imagine you have a girlfriend who you love and had two ----ing children with her, and then you found a ----ing sex tape!! Now times that feeling by 110, and see what you would do!!!".

Definetely a bizarre story...

I saw some interviews with Jenna on TMZ, and she seemed blown away by the fact that Tito even mentioned her oxy contin use, and she was adament that Tito did "assault" her to some capacity...

On the flip side, Tito... well his lawyer said that he never laid a finger on her, and that the visible injuries she shows, are a result of her drug use, as oppose to any domestic violence.

Apperently, atleast according to Tito, the UFC has stood behind him thus far. Though I suspect, that no matter the reason, if it get's proven that tito did assault her, that's the end of him in the UFC.

It was a little sleazy but you always get that in lawyer land. Professional spin doctors if you will. I dunno, being that Jenna's family "allegedly" took Tito's side, intially, I'd probably have to side with Tito as well. I'd be surprised if Tito struck her... I could see forcefully grabbing her or something to that effect, but that's about it...

Strange really, do you trust a drugged up former porn star, or a mentally unstable professional fighter.... I mean one of them has to be right...

Matthews said the 35-year-old Ortiz found drugs in their home Monday morning, leading to the confrontation that ended with Ortiz's arrest. Matthews also claimed the 36-year-old Jameson has made 911 calls threatening suicide over the past year, but Ortiz stuck with his partner of four years in hopes of salvaging their relationship.

A call to Jameson's representatives went unanswered late Monday night. Jameson posted one message on her Twitter account Monday, saying she planned to quit Twitter.

"I cant take any more abuse from ANYONE.. To my sweet fans...thank you," the message read.

Jameson and her father, Larry, spoke to TMZ.com and other reporters outside the home earlier Monday. Wearing a wrap on her right elbow, Jameson described herself as "completely shocked" by the incident, saying Ortiz had "lashed out" at her, leaving her feeling "betrayed."

Matthews said Jameson's father initially called 911 after the couple's argument, but provided support to Ortiz after learning of his daughter's drug abuse, even bringing clothes to Ortiz after he made bail. Matthews said a restraining order is keeping Ortiz away from Jameson.

Police Lt. Mike Reynolds said Ortiz was taken to the Huntington Beach jail and released after posting US$25,000 bail. Reynolds said police can't make an arrest on suspicion of domestic violence unless there's a "visible injury," and the unnamed victim's injuries met that standard.

Matthews said Jameson has "a scratch on her elbow, and oftentimes when people are on Oxycontin, they don't have the best balance."

According to KCAL-TV News Jameson suffered a torn rotator cuff in the incident but said Ortiz did not strike her.

"He didn't beat me," Jameson said. "We had an argument, and it escalated, and things got out of control."

TMZ.com had footage of Jameson earlier Monday fighting back tears as she drove a vehicle with her father in the passenger seat.

"I really can't talk about it right now," Jameson said. "Of course (I'm pressing charges). ... My babies are alright, everything's okay."

White told TMZ.com he might cut Ortiz but would wait to see police reports.

"Other than going on a killing spree, being accused of domestic violence is the worst thing you can have going for you," White told the celebrity news and gossip site.
