There were no question marks to Dan, meanwhile.

Shields loses his first two and the result will be disastrous. And who knows about how he reacts to being stopped?

Worst thing that happens against GSP is he gets laid on for 5 rounds. Considering that has already happened to a who's who list of 170 pounders, I think he will be fine.

Are you still on that?

Your argument was that Brett Rogers was equal to GSP's opponents, I believe. LOL.

Are you talking to me? Because I sure as heck never said anything like that.

I do however think that GSP is a safe opponent for Shields in that it is less likely he get embarrassed because GSP does not finish fights.

You've obviously got something up your ass to keep claiming so aggressively that "GSP does not finish fights". That's just dumb. He's finished 8 of his 14 UFC wins, for example. 5 of his last 10. A total of 6 decisions.

Uhhh?

Did he insult your list-making skills? What's the beef?

I like GSP okay, but the GSP who finishes fights is in the past. The new GSP is so afraid of losing his belt that he grinds out boring decisions. Not that that is necessarily the worst thing in the world, but if he can't finish guys like Hardy on the ground, it is pretty unlikely he finishes Shields. That is why it makes so much sense for Shields to fight GSP first, and not Silva.

PS: You love my lists. I can feel it.

It's ridiculous to think Hardy should be an easy finish. GSP's tactic was to submit him, and he had him in two finish holds - Hardy just won't tap. In hindsight, he should have gone for a ref stoppage TKO. But how was he supposed to know Hardy has the pain tolerance of a mad man?

Hardy is renowned as a hard worker and has trained to be on his back for almost 10 years.

No offense to Hardy, but if GSP can't tap him (or Alves or Fitch), he will have a ton of trouble tapping a BJJ guy like Shields. Shields will be the first guy who GSP puts on his back who could tap him from the bottom.

BJJ guys, can't think of any he's stopped...hmmm...

YOU DIDN'T ADDRESS WHY HARDY IS EASY TO TAP

He isn't, he is just a much easier tap than Shields is.

It's unfair to assume that he doesn't try to end fights. Insane, really, and does quite a disservice to his opponent. Prior to losing to GSP, Fitch wasn't stopped in six years and was undefeated throughout that time. Hardy was last subbed five years ago. Alves was last stopped three plus years prior to his fight with GSP.

I think it's safe to say that no one is finishing these guys.

Considering Shields has been stopped only once in his career, by strikes in 2000, then by your rational no one is finishing Shields either. So then what is the harm in him going right into a GSP fight?
