Should be a good fight, though it is a risk from the UFC to put Shields in with a fighter who is both dangerous and somewhat unknown.

A loss from Shields would be damaging. Though a win by Kampmann would push him right to a title shot most likely.

It is a very tough fight to call. The UFC did Shields no favors here putting him in with a very dangerous, yet not super well known fighter.

This should be an excellent litmus test for Shields and his UFC legitimacy.

He's had some T.V. time, people will recognize him.

A well-rounded fighter is the last thing Shields needs.

Kampmann is 100% legit, his striking is light years ahead of Shields and his wrestling is underrated, I see him exposing the one trick pony and knocking Jakes head off, I know Shields has mad skills on the ground but he is soooo bad on his feet he doesnt deserve to win. Dana should just go old skool and let Shield come out with a gi ala Royce.

Hendo, Condit, Okami, Lawler are all pretty well rounded, and Shields went right through them.

The key is Kampmann's takedown defense. I've never watched him fight solely to focus on this, so, how is it? His chin is outstanding and his striking/striking defense is very good and Shields can't hang with that on the feet.
