Glad to see Riddle get a win over De.Johnson (what a bad season that was).

I always liked Riddle, so I hope he can keep improving, he's still very young.

I say a fight against Forrest, Franklin or Thiago Silva would be the best. But Thiago just got hurt....best scenario i think Franklin.

I say have Bones fight Franklin. Would be a real good test for Bones and it's against a top 8 guy in the division. I think Franklin would also be a better fight for Bones than putting him against Forrest. He'd probably go thru Forrest quick.

^ Plus it would definitely give Jones the name recognition.

IMO Franklin is the easiest fight for him of the top 6 or 7 guys. That is why I chose that fight. He would get a ton of name recognition off of Franklin, and fight a guy who likely would not be able to keep the fight standing.

I agree, I think he'd smash franklin pretty easily actually. But I don't want to see him fight Rich just because that's the easiest fight for him. I'd like to see him get tested, but I just can't decide who that person would be. Really I think he beats nog, forrest, rich and bader fairly easily... I'd like to see Silva but obviously we'd have to wait a while for that fight to happen.

Rumor round my gym was Jones/Bader was supposed to headline this card but the UFC didnt want to tarnish the record of their young lions. I see lil Nog/Bader winner Jones' next fight. Bader has a great chance to beat Bones, his wrestling and strength might be able to hold down Jones long enough for a LNP victory.

Thankfully, the UFC is smarter than to waste that fight now. They handled the HW prospects perfectly, not having Carwin, Lesnar, dos Santos, or Cain fight each other until it mant a huge main event fight. They need to do the same here.

I think that Jones would put Bader on his back. Bader may have more wrestling credentials, but it sure looks like Jones has the better wrestling for MMA. He tossed Hamill and Maty around like rag-dolls.

I think Bones would wreck Franklin, Forrest, or Thiago. With him leaving his arms out two fights in a row I'd be a little worried about him fighting Nog and Bader is a real strong wrestler which gives him a good chance in every fight. I think the best route would be a fight against a name like Franklin or Forrest and then give him Bader (assuming Bader beats Nog). If he gets through that then he needs to be given a #1 contenders fight if not an outright title shot.

Bones v. Franklin, winner faces Rampage
Bader v. Nog, winner faces Griffin

Forrest is tough, but Bones would destroy against that style.

I'd give him Forrest, though that could knock Forrest down a peg (to Jardine status around the time he beat Liddel) or Thiago who should be ready soon.

The winner of Nog vs Bader, i'm not big on that. If nog wins, sure.
But Bader is another young up and comer. I'd save that fight for down the road. No need to derail one of the two best prospects in the division right now.
Plus that fight isn't happening for 7 weeks. Bones shouldn't wait that long for a fight. He took no damage.

I agree with everything here. He should be fighting Forrest but the UFC knows better than to ruin the name of one of their big stars in the process. Kinda stupid when you think of it sometimes, but there's a reason the UFC can put 3-4 superstars on each PPV card. They know how to milk the most out of their name guys.

If not Griffin, SDM's outline is great.

If Bones beats a guy like Franklin or Forrest next, he would then immediately get a title shot IMO.

Yea that's definitely possible, especially if he wins convincingly again.

Forrest has already bawled on the floor of the ring after getting beat down by Jardine and looked like an amateur against Silva, if that doesn't ruin his name then people probably like the guy no matter what
