I don't know how to feel about the Aoki fight. On the one hand, it was disgusting watching Aoki stall that entire first round. But what else could we expect him to do? Get into a shoot-out in a kickboxing match w/ 4 oz gloves? That's totally unreasonable. I sort of blame K-1. It's a stupid idea. Make it entirely a kickboxing match or entirely an MMA match. You're essentially demanding that a guy stall if he's promised that the rules will change vastly into his favor after the first 3 minutes.

I have to admit to being pretty damn pleased when Aoki got blasted.

Matches are too lop-sided with proper athletic commiss's. I was happy Saku's ear got ripped, saving him from brain damage. I actually felt relief. The same with the Duffee fight ending in a non-brutal fashion.

Josh Thomson is a God damn exciting fighter. ****. Beautiful stand-up. That superman punch to LHK combo...WTF? Did he even hit the ground between the strikes? He was in mid-air. **** Crusher, **** Ishida, that whole team. This was second worst fight of the year, behind only Ishida vs Kikuno. The only reason they're shooting is defensively. I guess Kawajiri had some sub attempts. Whatever. It was a huge blue-balling.

JLB vs Ishii was one of the best fights...never would have predicted that in a million years. Both guys were real impressive.

Why are you laughing at him, exactly? The guy has insane courage. He's seen the countless KO highlights of Overeem and still got in there to fight him...on very short notice, at that. You're like a little kid watching cartoons, totally removed from empathy or reality.
