Hey guys, just wanted to give you a heads up on a blog/satellite radio show that me, my brother, and a good friend of mine have started doing. We've been on the air for about 5 weeks now, and have had Ariel Helwani on the show (it's archived on the blog).
The site is TheMMAWeighIn.blogspot.com. We're just a group of young guys who are hardcore MMA fans, and are taking a love and hobby for the sport and just trying to get a great experience out of it. We got an interview with Sam Stout coming up this Sunday, and through him are trying to lock down an interview with Mark Hominick before his 129 showdown with Jose Aldo. Ricardo Almeida is also possible for the show in the next few weeks.
We're really hoping to get this show going and garner somewhat of a following. We're putting up previews and reviews for each card, articles on issues in MMA, and will be posting our weekly show online each week!
We were at UFC 128 in Newark last weekend, and are hoping to make it to Vegas for 130 to cover that event.
We're on-air Sunday from 7pm-8pm on theriotradio.com. Riot Radio is Durham College's on campus radio station, but is accessible on the web. Once my brother's semester ends and he has no access to the studio, we'll be looking to podcast our show each week from another studio. I'm reaching out to the RealGM MMA community for your support, and hope everyone checks it out!
Mods, if you feel this is not the place or venue for this, feel free to lock. Don't know where else to take this, and the MMA Heads on here would probably enjoy what we have in store! Thanks!

New MMA Blog and Radio show!

Wade is basically Ben Gordon without the 3-point shooting. Sure, he's been a pretty good defender this year, so that would upgrade, but I'd rather have Gordon because he's cheaper and can hit those threes

Cool. I'll check it out. Btw, I don't think Mods should lock this. I think its cool. There is a guy on sherdog.com that occassionally interviews MMA guys. He always creates threads when he's going to interview someone new to see if anyone who posts on their forums has any questions they would like answered. You should do the same.

Good stuff, I hope your show really takes off. It's awesome that you're already getting some names on it. One suggestion though, your site really needs an overhaul.

Already on it. A good friend of mine who's a computer wiz is going to be handling my site. I'm surprised as well as to how easy and accessible the fighters and guests we've had have been. We're going to be patient, and just let things roll. Would love for the word to spread though!
