Probably a good decision.
Don't think his heart has been in it for a while; better to leave on his own terms while still in good shape.

IDK, CPT, I just don't think the guy had the athleticism. If your hearts not into it, you don't go through the insanity of cutting 15 pounds of - for the most part - muscle to move down from 185. He did put some effort in. He could have coasted for another fight or two at 185. But he really wanted to maximize his abilities.
I always wanted Marquardt to get a chance to avenge that Pancrase incident.
