Most likely Floyd will have an easy opponent to warm up after his long lay off.

Victor Ortiz is a much more interesting fight than any I would have hoped for. I'm down. When's the last prime fighter he fought? Judah? Corrales? I'll take it. If it's a schooling, it'll at least be a schooling of a guy who is two-handed and in his athletic prime.

That was a great fight. Mayweather stoic and focused the whole 12.

Baldomir was not a live opponent, no way.

The other thing is that Floyd's managed to face guys who've been both past their prime and worried about losing...guys with 'names' and so without hunger or credibility to gain in simply a gutsy performance. Ortiz is different.

lol Hatton looked like a blimp. Nothing resembling a current fit boxer.

Good fight for Manny. He was getting criticized for not doing better against Mosley, but he pretty much won the fight after the knock down and Mosley decided to back peddle more.

I think that beyond the fact that Manny is a great fighter, he is also a southpaw which would make the fight damn interesting to see. Early on Mayweather got hit flush by Judah, but Judah being Judah... fades away when pressure is applied to him.

Speed is relative, both Manny and Mayweather look like jackrabbits vs the guys they have faced, but when someone has the same speed it really changes the level of play.

Mayweather has also been more blessed than others... em... Castillo fight.

Ortiz indifferent to defending himself at an elite level doesn't make it a fair fight.

Congrats Manny! A little bit late congratulatory post...

The only next fighter that makes sense, PBF. Now if only he can just shut up and fight...

Andre Ward cruised to a win last night, Abraham couldn't get anything going. Ward awaits the Carl Froch/Glen Johnson winner for a the Super 6 finals match up.

AA is just too small and inactive to be a force at that weight - the Taylor fight just speaks more to how gone Taylor was.

AA just doesn't throw enough punches to be effective... He is a very limited, who power always covered them up but once he faced someone who is skilled enough to aviod the big hit... he is pretty mediocre compared to the elite.

Super 6 had so much promise at the beginning and it's been Ward dominating. I don't thing Froch is very good to be honest, a volume puncher that will be outbox. Johnson might be too slow and old.

Pacquiao-Marquez III is official...

I don't expect much from this fight other than Pacquiao probably putting Marquez down for good at 144, but I think we all know Marquez comes to fight.

It's hard to imagine what Abraham even does to train for fights. There's so little athleticism involved in his style. Just lift weights and practice his guard? Is there a point to shadowboxing when you throw virtually every punch from the same friggin angle?

That was a really weak performance.

It's goofy. It's such a limiting style. I realize other Euros make it work. Sturm and so on.

Rooting for Johnson, but I gotta admit that Froch vs Ward would be a really great fight. I wonder if Showtime can give it the appropriate hype.

And Bute's waiting. Hopefully waiting with his bags packed, mind you - no more Montreal fights.

The tourney might work out for Showtime. There's 3-4 big names now in a single division, with a lot of possibilities for exciting fights.

Hopefully Manny destroys Marquez and shuts him up once and for all
