^^^^^^

Condit is a legit challenge for Georges when he gets thought Penn imo.

Fitch deserves a second chance, he's still a great fighter.

Georges is not going up to 185, his trainer said it's a no go.

I am not really a gsp fan, but I really don't think his passion can be questioned.

The dude's walk around weight is his fight weight because he trains all day everyday even if he doesn't have a fight, hard to be too much more passionate about the sport.

Allow me to reiterate that I never questioned GSP's drive, heart, passion, etc...

I skimmed nemesis's post and thought he did, but looking more closely he was just talking about best in the world.

Yeah, I'm not questioning GSP's heart or talents. Just saying if he wants to be the best/best ever, he needs to move to 185, already cleaned out 170 division.

After he beats Diaz, and maybe Condit, I think a move up to 185 is mandatory (hypothetically speaking).

Where is that rule written? He still has fights left at 170 and there will always be new contenders. Given how he treats his body he could dominate for 5+ more years. Since Anderson is 36 and Fedor has been finished for a while now, I'd say GSP is in the driver's seat to becoming the best ever. Of course, Jon Jones is looking like he might be better than all of them.

Doesn't the fact that he's dominated his division to that extent make him the best (ever) anyway?

I don't understand why people say "after gsp has beaten this guy and that guy, he has cleaned out the division". It just never happens that way.

If/when he fights Condit, it'll be several months down the line. Rumble may have gone on a tear, Ellenberger might have knocked another 2/3 people silly, or whoever else will have risen up. There will ALWAYS be new contenders for gsp to face.

Its ironic, because I am a huge Penn fan because of the whole "fighting spirit, move up in weight to challenge yourself" thing. GSP just isn't like that, and I have NO issues with that. He wants to fight guys his own size and cement his own legacy in one of the deepest divisions in the sport? Let him.
