Even with Ortiz's flurry at the end of that round, the round still would have gone to Mayweather.

Either way I get it a lot of people don't like Mayweahter and will just discredit him no matter which way you want to look at it.

Floyd is probably my favorite active boxer.

The only person who benefited from the headbutt was Mayweather, that's not up for debate. He was being pushed, that ended immediately after Ortiz gave him the Holyfield.

No one denys Mayweather's talent, he is the games biggest pure talent right now, but when he talks out of his ass... expect people to call him out on it.

^i don't think anyone posted in that manner throughout either thread so your attempt at humour falls flat.

He is all riled up because of Silk Wilkes and his recent obtusely thought out posts in the other thread.

The actual content is apt. You dismiss everyone opposing you cos we're assumed to be partisans.

I can't believe people are defending Floyd...he sucker punched a guy with his hands down...while he had his head turned away. And not just one, but two big shot. Watch the replay, look at Floyd's eyes as he monitors the situation before throwing the one-two. It was as deliberate as the Ortiz headbutt.

If there's one thing to be admired, it's Floyd's intelligence/quick-mindedness.
While Ortiz and Cortez are trying to process what's going on, Mayweather's already made his move.
On that front, he really is on another level. But a douche nonetheless.

I think it's funny that people are still surprised. Floyd tried this against Gatti and Mosley too. Floyd doesn't believe in morals or ethics. Look at his fighting style. He throws elbows, he gets his opponents' arms stuck under his armpits after they throw a punch. He intentionally turns himself around over and over so his opponent can't hit him without being penalized for hitting in the back of the head. Everything about him is dirty.

That said, Ortiz is a bonehead and never deserved this shot at Floyd. He's a poor man's Cotto, nothing more.

A warning punch??? A warning punch would be a push or, at worst, a body blow. This was a left-hook to the jaw. That wasn't a warning punch; not even close. That was an attempted knock out.

And Ortiz couldn't 'wake up and protect himself' after that punch. He was pretty clearly stunned; he was looking off into space, or trying to stay upright. Mayweather's second sucker-punch took care of that.
