Go to 1:55 to hear Dana's take on whether or not Nick Diaz will replace Condit should he defeat Penn

That's what we've been talking about. Looks bad now, sure, but he's just protecting/promoting the fight he had in place in Condit vs. GSP. While it might have helped hype the Penn vs. Diaz fight a bit to suggest Diaz would get the shot with a big win, it wouldn't have done much to combat the idea that Condit is not a worthy contender. If that's the fight in place, Dana has to make it seem like it's the best fight that can be made.

The right decision was made, and if Dana White isn't worried about looking stupid/dishonest on this, I don't see why anyone else cares so much. I could see it if people really believed Condit should keep the shot and deserves it over Diaz, but that doesn't seem to be the case. Just seems to be a case of people wanting to pile on Dana White, when ultimately, he made the right decision.

You keep saying that people care so much about this. Who does? Is one person saying the lying is irritating and another guy sharing a link really making THAT big a deal out of it in your opinion?

Nobody here has any agenda or desire to "pile on" Dana White, I promise. If so, those same people wouldn't be giving him credit for making the right move.

Pretty much the only people in this thread talking about it were complaining about the lying. Which is fine; I can't tell you not to be irritated by it, but I'm also allowed to find it irritating when people don't understand (or understand and choose to ignore) the reasoning behind Dana's (admittedly questionable) statements at times.

After that part of the discussion was over, along comes that link, presumably to start it up again, or just to make Dana look like an ****.

I posted that link because to my knowledge it's the only interview anywhere where Dana references his thought process prior to that fight happening... Had I rememberd that link earlier in the discussion, I would have posted it then, but I didn't, so I didn't...

I think a big portion of why things changed in his mind post fight, is because GSP demanded to fight Diaz. If that doesn't take place, it's probably Condit in 10 weeks. And I don't believe Condit stepped aside. GSP demanded Diaz, and GSP is Dana's biggest draw... Dana obliged, and said tough luck to Carlos. But of course he sugarcoats it when he tells the media. What boss doesn't do that?

Maybe people just disagree with you. Nothing more, nothing less.

Anyway I don't see any reason to continue this argument, that was a whole other event ago, and we have fox on the horizon. :D

Soooo not only does BJ almost never get cut/bleed/bruise, he also apparently heals like a superhuman.
