Penn just said he was retiring cuz he didn't want to come home to his daughter all banged up. He must of took another shot to the head if he thinks he'll win right now against a Fitch.

As for Hughes, dude is getting old and its pretty much now or never for him. So another couple fights for him won't be so bad. He hasn't been getting his *** handed to him as much as Penn, so I could watch a couple more fights.

He also hasn't been fighting above his natural weight class.

No shame in losing to Edgar at lw.

They might do Hughes vs. Gracie (somewhat unlikely, but could work in Brazil) or Hughes vs. Hallman (though Hallman has dropped to LW). Other than that, there isn't much that makes sense. I don't even think his name carries enough weight to put over a young guy at this point.

As for BJ being "back to the old BJ" or "motivated and in shape," I'll believe it when I see it. And the only time I think he's even close to in shape is at 155.

Any chance BJ takes a fight outside of the top 3-5 in the LW division?

A few guys I could think of are Evan Dunham, Pettis/Lauzon loser, a rematch with Sherk, Soti (now that he's off the Japan card), or even Jacob Volkmann.

Maybe BJ's ego and pride won't let him take a fight that far down the ladder, we'll just have to wait and see.

Wade is basically Ben Gordon without the 3-point shooting. Sure, he's been a pretty good defender this year, so that would upgrade, but I'd rather have Gordon because he's cheaper and can hit those threes
